This is not user friendly to a senior user! I go from Mira Mar Ave in East Medford to the City of Medford Service Center on North Columbus in West Medford to work. I don't stop at the card rooms or bars coming or going!

Columbus Avenue, from Jackson to SMHS needs urgent help to be safe for cyclists and pedestrians. It is poorly lit, has inconsistent, unconnected sidewalks, is hazardous for cyclists yet teeming with bicycles, and is LOUD from motorized traffic as engines throttle out of the curves. Why isn't this Medford's highest priority?

WalMart should be an easy place to bike/walk to; it is far from easy to bike to.

Voohries, Coleman Creek Road, and Houston Road are on one of my favorite routes for cycling, but they have no shoulder, sharrows, or bike lane. It is okay when cars are savvy to sharing the road but because of a few impatient vehicles, a separated bike lane is necessary. Please accommodate cyclists here for safe riding. Brave cyclists already populate this road in masses; it is time to respond to their need for a safe ride.

The bike lanes at this intersection serve no purpose but create hazards for cyclists who use them. SB places cyclists to the right of turning traffic exposing them to right hook if they are continuing on Crater Lake Ave, but the bike lane does not resume south of the intersections. I'm not sure what the NB bike lane north of the intersection actually does.

The Biddle Road MUP is unusable for cyclists due to significant damage to pavement by tree roots. As a result cyclists must slow to walking speed to clear those ridges or risk crashing. The alternative is to bike in the right travel lane which causes MV traffic to change lanes to pass.

There is always a significant amount of debris collected in the bike lanes for both EB and WB 62 which creates hazards to bikes that must be avoided, but there is not enough room in the lane to avoid without diverting into the travel lane. Islands of debris also collect within the intersection in the line of the bike lane where MVs do not go creating unsafe crossing for cyclists and damage to tires.

The green phase for EB 238 is so short that cyclists waiting at red do not have time to completely cross intersection before yellow phase begins (when there is little MV traffic). As a result the green phase for two lanes of NB 99 traffic turning onto EB 99 begins before those cyclists have time to cross those lanes to access bike lane at the curb. Very hazardous at night.

Sidewalk does not connect and where it would be, there are hedges.

The sidewalks need to be connected on this side of the street. They stop and in some places there are hedges necessitating walking out into the street.

Biking on Crater Lake Avenue between McAndrews and Main St. is unwise. The street is very busy and there are no bike amenities.

Local park and farmer's market. Walking is easy and prevents parking problems with neighboring businesses.

This intersection is a barrier not just to biking, but also to driving. I know there are plans for a traffic circle when Atlantic is extended to 140, but in the meantime, this intersection is one of the least cyclist friendly in the valley during busy times.

Vision clearance on NE side of roundabout is very poor. I've had cars enter the roundabout (going southbound on Highland) while I am riding through it(heading west on Siskiyou) and literally drive next to me inside the roundabout at least five times. The hedge along the NE "corner" needs to be removed or moved back five feet at least.

Biking on this road is impossible. Even driving is scary at some times during the day. Though there is no room on the road for a bike lane, there needs to be SOME kind of direct path from North Phoenix at Barnett to Garfield/Highland that does not take a winding path down side streets.

Sharrows on an arterial? Nope, nope, nope. Sharrows belong on roads with low traffic volumes and speeds. Not here.

This intersection is a huge mess with very long lights, high speeds, and congestion often during the day. People sometimes avoid the intersection and instead cross 62 in front of Fred Meyer (eek!) because there is a hotel on the other side.

Yes there may be a shoulder here, but traffic volume and speeds are very high. This is a scary place to ride a bike. A separated bike lane might be OK going downhill from Medford toward Phoenix, but northbound riders go a lot slower uphill and really need full physical separation or even a path off the road. This really should be a high priority improvement because the only alternative is to go all the way over to the BCG. This should be done BEFORE Medford and Phoenix development makes it impossible to build.
