Biking or walking to school or Stage Stop there is little protection from traffic on Griffin Creek and West Grifin.

Old Stage road from Ross Ln to Gold Hill is extremely dangerous to ride a bike on, no bike lane.

I often use this path for exercise and often use the shoulder of the bike path for walking/running vs. traveling on the blacktop as it's easier on the body. Perhaps there would be some interest in not paving everything with blacktop or concrete but designating a shoulder section for walkers / runners to use that mirrors a dirt path. I find areas along this section covered in bark are more enjoyable to walk / run on as they absorb more of the impact of the stride vs. traveling on the blacktop that simply pushes back. I would encourage anyone designing walking paths to include an area covered in bark / rock / dirt that mirrors trail conditions, strengthens muscles in the legs and feet and gives walkers/runners an option to travel on a paved or unpaved surface. The section along this area is obviously heavily traveled by foot by those finding the blacktop to rigid.

Eastside N/S route would be fantastic for bike commuters and recreational cyclists, but needs a safer facility.

Connect to the south end of the Greenway with a safe and well-marked bike facility.

This section is highly traveled by pedestrians daily. I'm surprised there have not been more accidents on this road. Most pedestrians are forced to walk or bike in the gravel, around cars parked in the gravel which forces walkers into the street. The speeds on this road make it a very dangerous path to walk. This section is routinely walked by pedestrians traveling to services either at the end of Spring street and crater lake or the spring street market. Someone should go out sometime and just watch as people walk along the street while cars buzz by often times only slightly slowing down or speeding up as they try to beat the cars coming the opposite way to avoid having to slow for someone walking on the side of the road. The appears to be sufficient area for a decent sidewalk which could connect with the new sidewalk along the north side of the road (in front of the new houses). Then the sidewalk could be extended to connect to the park which is another popular destination and why people travel up and down the street.

This area is heavily traveled by HS and Middle School students. Since there is no sidewalk on the east side of the street, children are forced either into the street or dirt path to safely travel down this street. A safe place for kids to cross without having to travel down the entire length of the street would be nice. I routinely see kids darting across the street to avoid waling in the gutter or dirt. Holding hands with backpacks attached to them, they dart across the busy two lane street that does not encourage drivers to drive cautiously. Perhaps a cross walk somewhere around Harrison or middle of the section would help. Also, with the new Valley School going in, more kids could potentially use this route to get to school and a safe place to cross would be paramount.

This is a dangerous section where the bike lane suddenly stops forcing bicyclists into the street while traveling up a hill. There appears to be sufficient asphalt to identify a bike lane or sharrow to safely allow bikes to travel up this hill to connect to keen way

this section is great for biking and walking when the lanes are clear and free from rocks

This section of road was chip sealed and routinely has rock chips in the bike lane or the chip seal encroaches on the bike lane slightly making for an uneven surface to ride. More consideration should be given when chip sealing to ensure 1) the bike lane remains free from chip seal 2)remains smooth for bicyclists traveling in this lane daily. Additionally, there is sidewalk that ends around garden dr and is picked up just before the new bonaventure city. Finishing this section would prevent walkers from walking in the bike lane connecting the two unfinished sidewalks together. Otherwise walkers are forced to cross a heavily traveled street which is often used as a racetrack between McAndrews and Spring.

This section needs a sharrow as it connects two sections of bike lanes that suddenly stop at 1) e. jackson heading south and 2) at the round about heading north. Bicyclists using these bike lanes are suddenly faces with narrow roads, no sharrows on the road indicating this is a shared path. This section is used often by bicyclists heading to several schools in the area (hedrick and north high) but also housing in the area.

Expectations for biking are confusing. There is no bike lane heading into the round about. When you get to the round about the striping is confusing making one think heading onto the sidewalk is the expectation. There needs to be clear markings on the road that bikes are using the round about and sharows would be helpful in the round about to guide bikes into the circle with the flow of traffic.

This is ideal connecting route to Eagle Point but very dangerous

Zero bike or fed facilities on the overpass crossing the railroad tracks. Basically cuts off all adjacent neighborhoods from the Rogue Valley Mall, REI/Trader Joes, etc.

Very difficult and unsafe for both cyclists and pedestrians to get anywhere from West McAndrews and its connectors, especially eastbound.

Definite problems with people hanging out on the Greenway between Cottage Street and Jackson Street. Trail is often obstructed, particularly under the bridges, creating numerous safety issues. Walkers and single cyclists feel threatened and tend to avoid the entire area.

Would be great to have some sort of connection to the Greenway from this side of I-5.

South Stage could definitely use better bike lanes. In the meantime, maintenance of the existing marked shoulders needs to improve, e.g. regular sweeping.

Colver Park in Phoenix a popular departure location for cyclists. The folks from Ashland, Jacksonville and Central Point find this a convenient centralized meeting place. The park is safe, well maintained and has good parking. Designated cycling lanes to connect to other often used cycling routes should be developed here then a cycling map for visitors to our valley could include this and other key locations.

Cycling the round trip from Jax along South Stage Road to Houston and Voorhees connecting to Colver Road then down to Ashland is one of the most heavily used recreational cycling routes in the Valley. South Stage road and Colver should have a designated cycling lane.

Tolo intersecint with Blackwell is a good interim destination for cycling loops from Jax to CP, down the greenway and back to Jax. encourage the use of the tunnel off blackwell and beneath highway 5 to get to the northernmost access to the greenway

Ruch is an interim destinations for cyclist who want to ride in the Applegate Vally; add a designated cycling lane -- especially important because of varying shoulders and high speed vehicular traffic
