A tunnel would be a great addition here. Pedestrian crossing difficult and unsafe. Roundabout traffic travels extremely fast and is not looking for pedestrians. With the noticeable increase in traffic here this is not a place that is easy to cross for kids. Improving safety would improve pedestrian access on this trail and to nearby businesses

Connecting this trail to Gabel Rd would greatly improve pedestrian access, especially when the trail on Gabel west to Hesper is completed, which will connect to Shiloh. Unconnected sections make pedestrian travel difficult and/or dangerous. Continuous trail connections open up access.

Crosswalk and/or traffic light on busy intersection.

We need a lighted crosswalk at a minimum. Otherwise a stop light with crossing signals, or a roundabout with a lighted crosswalk signal. This is a difficult intersection to cross as a pedestrian, and it is in the route that some children take to get to Will James Middle School. I've had a number of close encounters myself along Rimrock, including at this intersection.

With more traffic headed down and up Zimmerman Trail, the whole portion descending the rims badly needs rumble strips in the center dividing lines. I heard the city doesn’t want them because of the noise. I respond if that is true then clearly there is a serious problem with people cutting across into the opposite lane especially on corners. I drive this daily and have one or more close calls on EVERY trip. A head on collision could be a nightmare with traffic backed up for long stretches. Put in the rumble strips!!

Traffic on the one ways in this area need to be slowed down. we need bulb out and other things. we need trees and other things to tighten the streets to make drivers feel like the space is smaller and slow down.

Traffic on 6th travels very fast. I think this road really drags down the North Park neighborhood. This neighborhood is undesirable because it feels like it's next to a highway with this traffic, despite being a cute neighborhood with tree lined streets, an excellent park, and close to downtown/hospitals/university.

Traffic down 4th ave needs to be slowed down.Other than at the ends there's only one stop light. Cars literally race down 4th.

Another vote for fifth Ave corridor. Imagine spending trail funding in the urban area that would benefit 5-10,000 commuters -- not just rattlesnakes on the inner loop!

S 19TH ST W/Hoover Avenue
Existing traffic signal at Miles Ave and 19th st uses a detector that fails to detect bicycles. Most traffic signals fail to detect bicycles and in many cases the green light is too short to safely and legally get across a street. Green lights need to be a minimum 15 seconds long.

King Ave W/S Frontage Road
The bike path on Midland Road from Mulloney Lane to S Billings Bvld has too many driveway crossings to safely bicycle. A bike lane would be better or get rid of at least half of the driveways.

There’s a little ditch on the back of these lots that could serve as a safe throughout and also links up to the larger Suburban Ditch which could be an excellent link between Amend Park and the Audubon Center/River. Ditch trails should be Billings‘ trademark.

Shiloh Rd/ Grand Ave
Utility pole on NW part of this corner blocks the view of west bound traffic on Grand Ave and south bound Shiloh traffic turning right onto west bound Grand for south bound trail users crossing Grand. Also, it is difficult to judge what direction motorists will exit the roundabout and they are capable of going as fast as 35 mph in the roundabout based on how fast I have been able to drive through this and similar roundabouts.

6th Ave N/ Main St
The Metra Park area is a big barrier to safe bike/ped travel between downtown and the heights sections of Billings. Something needs to be added to safely accommodate bike/ped travel through this area.

It seems like a no brainer for YC to include a year round link from the 5th Ave Corridor (crossing at 3rd) to the Jim Dutcher Trail in their Fairgrounds Reno. It would be a real feather in their cap and a great link for summer events.

When can we connect Zoo Montana to the trail system along the Yellowstone River? This City has so much potential to be a magnet for tourists. It sometimes seems that we don't have a vision for what we could be.

Ditto canal link -- with seasonal e-boats as public transport options. Why not picture something worth celebrating-- history , culture, connectivity!

How can we develop Coulson Park so that it becomes a way to tie our downtown to the Yellowstone River? There is so much (unrealized) potential to celebrate our connection to the Yellowstone. Right now, it seems that we left it behind when Coulson disappeared. The Yellowstone River has so much potential as a recreation area for our citizens and our visitors. Let's be intentional about making it a destination.

It seems like the Chamber of Commerce/ visitor center would be excited about this idea as the offer free bike use right in the area. Lillian Ave with a rail trail underpass to the river road.
