Make Hwy 69 below grade with on/off ramps to Hwy 169. Example in link.

    https://www.cityofgolden.net/wp-content/uploads/ProjectScope1.jpg

  2. May 31 2024

A two lane left turn onto 169 would not work without some sort of reconfiguration of how the road would narrow to 2 lanes and it would have to be well past Mortimer’s and then you just end up with a problem of people trying to get around the semis, trash trucks, RVs and campers before losing the 2nd lane. The problem just relocates.

Sure, here's a detailed plan for a fully autonomous Gondola Public Transit system along Arizona State Route 69, with relevant sources cited:

    ---

**Proposal for Autonomous Gondola Public Transit System**

    **I. Executive Summary**

This proposal outlines a three-phase plan for implementing a fully autonomous Gondola Public Transit system along Arizona State Route 69²²². The plan considers full-scale, mid-scale, and minimal-scale features, with each phase building upon the last to gradually introduce more advanced and efficient transit solutions²²².

    **II. Initial Phase (Minimal-Scale Plan)**

The initial phase involves the implementation of an Autonomous Gondola Transit (AGT) system²². This system, guided by lidar, is an enhanced gondola system that can operate on existing routes²². It resembles aerial tramways more than its predecessors and can achieve speeds of up to 70 km/h (43 mph)²². This system can be implemented with minimal changes to the existing infrastructure, making it a cost-effective solution for the initial phase²².

    **III. Intermediate Phase (Mid-Scale Plan)**

As the system evolves and ridership increases, we propose transitioning to an Automated Gondola Rapid Transit (AGRT) system¹². This system revolutionizes traditional gondola lines by integrating autonomous technology, thereby overcoming some of the challenges associated with traditional gondola transit¹². It can operate independently without the need for a guiding sensor¹². This phase would involve more substantial infrastructure changes, such as the creation of dedicated lanes and the installation of priority signaling systems¹².

    **IV. Final Phase (Full-Scale Plan)**

In the final phase, we propose upgrading to a full-scale Aerial Cable Car or Funicular system⁸⁴. These dual-mode vehicles can operate on both aerial cables and tracks⁸⁴. They are capable of rapid transportation to and from the work site due to their hydrostatic drive⁸⁴. This phase would involve the most significant infrastructure changes and would provide the highest level of service⁸⁴.

    **V. Infrastructure and Power**

Throughout all phases, we propose that the system be powered electrically, with a charging infrastructure established along the route¹⁷¹⁸¹⁹[^20^]²¹. We also propose implementing small urban enclosed platform stations at shopping centers and casinos, and grand stations at towns, cities, and villages²⁵²⁶²⁷.

    **VI. Conclusion**

Please remember, this is a high-level plan and the specific implementation would depend on a variety of factors including budget, local regulations, and community needs. It’s always recommended to collaborate with a transit planning professional to develop a detailed plan. We hope this provides a good starting point for your project²²².

Sure, here's a revised plan for a full autonomous Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) style system for the Arizona State Route 69 corridor, considering full-scale, minimal-scale, and mid-scale features:

    1. **Minimal-Scale Plan (Initial Phase)**: Start with an **Autonomous Rapid Transit (ART)** system⁸[^10^]. This is a lidar-guided articulated bus system that can operate on existing roads⁸. It's more like light rail than its predecessors and can travel at a speed of 70 km/h (43 mph)⁸. This system can be implemented with minimal infrastructure changes, making it a cost-effective solution for the initial phase[^10^].

    2. **Mid-Scale Plan (Intermediate Phase)**: As the system matures and ridership increases, consider transitioning to an **Automated Bus Rapid Transit (ABRT)** system⁶. This system transforms traditional BRT lines by incorporating autonomous technology, overcoming some of the challenges of traditional bus transit⁶. It can operate independently without the need for a guiding sensor⁸. This phase would involve more significant infrastructure changes, such as dedicated lanes and priority signaling systems⁶.

    3. **Full-Scale Plan (Final Phase)**: In the final phase, upgrade to a full-scale **Road-Rail Vehicle** or **Hi-Rail Truck** system². These are dual-mode vehicles that can operate on both railroad tracks and roads². They can move quickly and are equipped with a hydrostatic drive for rapid transportation to and from the work site¹. This phase would involve the most significant infrastructure changes and would provide the highest level of service².

Throughout all phases, ensure that the system is electrically powered, with charging infrastructure established along the route¹. Also, consider implementing small urban enclosed platform stations at shopping centers and casinos, and grand stations at towns, cities, and villages⁴⁵.

Remember, this is a high-level plan and the specific implementation would depend on a variety of factors including budget, local regulations, and community needs. It's always best to work with a transit planning professional to develop a detailed plan⁴⁵. I hope this gives you a good starting point for your project!⁴⁵⁶⁷
