SLOCOG Safety Action Plan Feedback: Hazard for walking. There are numerous cars, usually motorcycles, Mustangs or Camaros that drive too fast and have excessively noisy cars. The noise travels in this canyon type terrain, and it disruptive inside our house with all the door and windows closed. Most times, these drivers live here in town and just drive around and around just to hear themselves make noise. The vibrations from the vehicles set off car alarms which is also annoying. The red mustang with the black top (he works at the hardware store), has a noise option that can be turned off and on and he always has it on. We don't have much sheriff presence up in our area, so they don't have any consequences.

SLOCOG Safety Action Plan Feedback: This location may cross a State highway, but this is not a Caltrans issue. Local pedestrians are a local agency - County - issue. I'm sure Caltrans would cooperate where possible, with their Complete Streets policy and all, but the solution has to come from the local community and their governmental representatives - the County.

SLOCOG Safety Action Plan Feedback: Hazard for walking and biking. Recreation Trail Crossing from East Ranch to West Ranch over Highway 1. Bicyclists, Pedestrians, children, people of all ages, Have to scramble across and unmarked highway of 55 MPH. Solution is to add traffic stop light for marked crossing or go under span of Santa Rosa Creek bridge with permanent trail. This is a CalTrans issue.

SLOCOG Safety Action Plan Feedback: This location is not a hazard. I have driven through this intersection any number of times and have never had a n excessive delay in turning onto SR 46.
If drivers would drive as they are supposed to - this includes turning drivers doing so at a reasonable rate of speed, there would be no issues and no "near misses". If you cannot accelerate reasonably, you should not be driving.

SLOCOG Safety Action Plan Feedback: Because of the busy access at this intersection and speed of cars exiting onto Weymouth headed west, pedestrians are forced to the curbside and up into the wooded edge to walk safely. Using this path is especially difficult with wheeled carts. Install a 5 ft. pedestrian access path on the south side of Weymouth Street.

SLOCOG Safety Action Plan Feedback: The sidewalk along Windsor Boulevard is developed to complement existing structure and Hwy. 1 positioning. This means that only one side of Windsor Boulevard is designated as a walkway. The current conditions of Windsor Boulevard sidewalks include uneven ground levels, prevalent potholes which hold water, and tripping hazards due to the curb. Level the existing pathway with packed gravel to a distance of 6 ft from the top edge of the existing curb.

SLOCOG Safety Action Plan Feedback: Near-miss while riding in a vehicle. Someone ran the red light, luckily other drivers were paying attention. However, crashes and near misses happen all the time at this intersection.

SLOCOG Safety Action Plan Feedback: Please decrease the speed limit. I read through many comments and most people are concerned about safety and are bringing up lights. In some of the intersections we need people to stop, but to help safety over all we need people to drive more slowly in this area. It may have originally been countryside and large country properties, but at this point it is a busy road with a lot of traffic that is required to be used to go to school. It just doesn’t make sense anymore to keep the speed so high.

SLOCOG Safety Action Plan Feedback: Any lighting added to the Vineyard corridor should be that which is compliant with modern current practices for quality and proper outdoor lighting. No gimmicky, vintage "western lantern" or Edison style globe-on-a- post streetlights, please. Lighting should be Full Cutoff, Fully Shielded, 3000K or less, modern lighting with smart/on demand controls to dim light and energy use during off-peak hours or only on demand. Light distribution to roadway only and not onto adjacent properties.

SLOCOG Safety Action Plan Feedback: While you can drive over to the Las Tablas Park and Ride, there is no reason why the Bus that takes Las Tablas and stops at the Hospital could not circle through Bethel to Vineyard coming or going. If and only if there are interested riders wanting a Vineyard pickup/drop off.

SLOCOG Safety Action Plan Feedback: Vehicles parked along south side of Vineyard at the large dirt pull out block view for drivers trying to exit Rossi Road. Signs posted at this widely used area indicate "Parallel Parking Only", yet every single vehicle is parked perpendicular to the fence (and to Vineyard roadway) thus creating extreme obstructed view of Vineyard eastbound traffic.

SLOCOG Safety Action Plan Feedback: The sandy parking area spills over into the bike lane and needs to be cleaned off so the striping for the lane can be seen and it's safer. The bike lane painting in this area should be repainted. There needs to be more striping crossing the onramps to the freeway. The bike lane paint just stops and it becomes 'no man's land' for us just at the critical crossing to avoid exiting cars.

SLOCOG Safety Action Plan Feedback: I third this comment string. It would be nice to see a No Parking Zone closer to the intersection. When a truck or van is parked there, I literally cannot see incoming traffic along Vineyard heading east.

Can we also talk about the dirt lot? Is there any way to make this area a little more polished? Paved, or at least with concrete bumpers and identified parking spaces so cars do not constantly destroy the fence when the pull too far forward?

SLOCOG Safety Action Plan Feedback: Likewise, no crosswalks across Rossi for residents, shoppers, or Trader Joe's employees. Extremely hazardous to cross Rossi and walk along Vineyard esp at busy times (note that school pick-up times at 2:45ish and the Trader Joe's shift change at 3 PM make this a crazy intersection in the afternoon.)

SLOCOG Safety Action Plan Feedback: Exactly, the sidewalk is on the north side of Vineyard Drive thus there should be a way for people to safely access it rather than walking on the south side of Vineyard where vehicles park regularly.

SLOCOG Safety Action Plan Feedback: Living off of Bennett Way and trying to access the south 101 entrance is a nightmare and a severe safety hazard. Nobody stops at the actual stop line on Rossi, as drivers have to inch out to Vineyard to see the oncoming traffic. A driver attempting to access south 101 has to be aware of both left and right-hand turning vehicles who are now blocking the access to the 101 south on-ramp. Additional development in this area will only exacerbate the safety of drivers.

SLOCOG Safety Action Plan Feedback: Great point!! What is traffic calming? I would not like lights outside of our house but speed and safety is priority. Is traffic calming like stop signs and bumps? Thank you

SLOCOG Safety Action Plan Feedback: Auxiliary lane on Hwy101S connecting Las Tablas and Vineyard. The current plan suggests a frontage road, but it is not economically feasible because of the cost to cross Toad Creek.

SLOCOG Safety Action Plan Feedback: The guardrail on the south side obstructs the sight triangle. Going EB on Vineyard I've had to slam on my brakes because a car turns right from the offramp right in front of me.
