SLOCOG Safety Action Plan Feedback: Once other nearby improvements (the Golden Hill round about) are operational, please prohibit left-hand turns onto 46 west from Union.
SLOCOG Safety Action Plan Feedback: The project to construct the overcrossing at Union Rd and SR 46E will help the City of Paso Robles remove local traffic from the highway, and connect to parallel local streets to reduce congestion on SR 46.
SLOCOG Safety Action Plan Feedback: On ramp is very short with limited visibility of traffic on right lane that you are merging into.
SLOCOG Safety Action Plan Feedback: Hazard for walking. Crosswalk across 24th street feels unsafe. It's a long, poorly lit, way to cross the street and during events many pedestrians use this.
Northbound traffic is usually backed up for several miles at the hwy 46 East ramp, sometimes as far back as the Paso Robles offramp, bringing the highway from two lanes down to one. There's also reduced visibility at the 13th Street overpass, which could lead to accidents when the traffic is backed up. A third lane is suggested after the overpass, to ease congestion of the already two lanes and allow traffic to get over for the offramp without putting them in danger of the reduced visibility
Hazard for walking, biking, and riding e-scooters
Transitioning from WB SR 46 to US 101 has a lot of useful signage that makes me aware of what's up ahead.
On fridays and weekends, big rigs getting onto hwy 46 block the right lane waiting for the light to change. some miss exit but wait in the center between the exit lane and the right bound lane creating a hazard.
High Speeding occurs on this segment
Please disregard earlier comment. I meant to make this comment at a different intersection.

Crash
Dangerous to make left coming from NB 101 to San Marcos. Merge lane is to short turning onto SB 101 from San Marcos
Consider a bike trail that goes from Paso, San Miguel, to Bradley Rd in Monterey County. There is currently no safe way to travel long distances by bike along the 101 corridor in North County. Current bike routes either take you through shoulders of county roads or segments of the 101 highway at Camp Roberts. A separated bike trail would also benefit the increasing amount of bicyclists who use e-bikes that can travel further.
Highway 1 is such a spectacular place to bicycle, but the narrow section south of Ragged Point, is very stressful because of distracted and aggressive motorists who do not want to share the road. My dream is for Caltrans to limit sections of Highway 1 once or twice a year so bicyclists can enjoy it without fear of being killed.
