  1. November 08 2013

flashing pedestrian signal malfunctions in certain weather conditions making it difficult to know when a pedestrian is waiting and when it is a false signal.

  2. November 08 2013

right hand turn lane from King Avenue to 20th Street W.

  3. November 08 2013

Dangerous area for walkers, drivers and bikers. Little to no visibility over the hill. Especially an issue with icy roads. This is a route with a lot of school bus traffic due to the issues with Piccolo Lane.

  4. November 08 2013

Intersection at 32nd and Monad need a designated left hand turn signal in both directions, not just on 32nd.

  5. November 08 2013

This stretch of road between 24th and 29th on King Avenue needs to have right hand turns only exiting the shopping areas on both sides of King Avenue except at controlled intersections. This is a dangerous section for car travel and even worse for pedestrians.

  6. November 08 2013

Monad at the railroad crossing is in very poor condition. This is a road that sees a lot of traffic during work travel hours. Possibly redesign the road section between 15th and the signal at Laurel Road.

  7. November 08 2013

Intersection at 6th and Central needs to be reevaluated. The traffic jams at peak hours of travel with cars entering and exiting both Albertson's and CVS on 6th is dangerous.

  8. November 06 2013

I am concerned about the speed and quantity of cars on 6th Avenue. I have observed a good number of pedestrians attempting to cross 6th to go to Terry Park or one of two elementary schools nearby. Vehicular traffic on 6th Avenue seems to also impact the fire engines at Terry Park as well. Perhaps a crosswalk or flashing light that could be activated by pedestrians or the fire department could be installed at Terry or Miles and 6th.

  9. November 05 2013

A bike trail along King Avenue South would be great to connect with the River's Edge trail by the KOA Campground. More trails and more connections.

  10. November 04 2013

A trail through this area from the tunnel to Aronson/Alkali will allow cyclists and pedestrians to stay away from the traffic on Airport Road.

  11. November 04 2013

Wider shoulder needed at this location for cyclist safety riding up N 27th Street. This is an important link between the Heights and the West End.

  12. November 01 2013

6th Avenue could benefit from a separated bicycle lane(s). Commuting to the Downtown area from the Heights is unsafe for bicyclist, with speeding vehicles (going faster than the posted 35 mph). A separated bike lane on 6th would be a huge incentive to ride my bike more to Downtown.

  13. November 01 2013

A two-way cycle-track for bicycles is essential along the north side of 6th Ave. N. to safely connect the downtown and EBURD to the expanding Heritage trail system. The cycletrack should be continuous on the northeast with the soon-to-be-constructed bike path turning the corner from Airport Rd along the on-ramp to 6th Ave. N. Ideally it would also extend to the southwest all the way to N. 30th St. which currently is a main bicycled route with bike lanes and also is the location of our new public library.

This connectivity is not only important for the safety of bicycle commuters going between the Heights and Downtown, but also for tourists, visitors, and local recreation. Our Heritage Trail system has become a main focal point of the Chamber of Commerce and other tourist groups that recognize the positive impact and value the trails bring to attracting visitors, conferences, and even relocating businesses to Billings. Currently, there is no safe connection from the large downtown hotels or even the Chamber of Commerce office to our trail system.

Bicycle friendly crossing opportunities should be built-in at 10th, 13th, 20th - all which align with the transportation sections of the EBURD Master Plan and Exposition Gateway Concept Plan. Additionally, N. 25th St. is prime become a key north-south connector through downtown, after the installation of the 25th St. Bike/Ped bridge over the RR tracks in 2014, so a crossing is important here as well.

  14. November 01 2013

6th Ave North should be reconstructed with a 2-way cycletrack on the north side separated from the parking lane by a landscaped boulevard. the cycle track should connect with the new bike path connecting Airport Rd and 6th Ave North. It would hurt if 6th Ave North was reduced to 3 lanes.

  15. October 30 2013

In the "Triangle" or this section of the South Side, there are many citizens who use bikes for transportation. This fact, paired with wrong-way riding and uncontrolled intersections, make it dangerous for both motorists and cyclists who are disobeying the law. More painted bike lanes would be a huge safety improvement in the entire "triangle".

  16. October 29 2013

I live in the Heights and would love to see the BikeNet system of trails connected from the Billings Water treatment plant all the way to River Front Park. Having a trail that would run from Lake Elmo to Schoenthal Island would showcase every natural wonder and display every bit of industry Billings has to offer. It would truly display the variety that exists in Yellowstone County

  17. October 29 2013

A walking/biking path from Briarwood to Blue Creek School would greatly increase safety for school children.

  18. October 29 2013

A turning lane into Briarwood would keep traffic safely moving.

  19. October 27 2013

I am concerned about housing developments popping up west of Shiloh Road that are in line with Monad & Broadwater. In the decades to come, it will be vital to extend those east-west arterials (eventually) all the way to 80th Street West. One need only look at the mess on 24th & 32nd Streets West to see what happens when there aren't any through-street arterials spaced closer than a mile apart.

  20. October 26 2013

Inner beltloop connection for safety and growth

  21. October 26 2013

Inner beltloop connection vital for safety

  22. October 26 2013

    Outer connnection

  23. October 26 2013

Outer connection vital to keep the traffic in the heights flowing, intersections working

  24. October 26 2013

During the evenings, the left-hand turn signal goes from green to red in about five seconds, even when there are four or five cars in the left-hand turn lane. This happens when I'm on 24th and am trying to turn left on Central.

  25. October 26 2013

I think there needs to be left-hand turn signals for Monad at the intersection of 24th St W. There are already left-had turn lanes, but sometimes you get stuck behind traffic here because there's a long line of cars driving straight.
