    I like this project!

Parking should be allowed on at least one side of the ride. There is little needs for bikes lanes going in both directions and no street parking is very difficult.

It's time to get the Inner Belt constructed in this location.

A left turn lane into Briarwood would improve traffic flow. A northbound merge lane from Briarwood might help as well.

paved trail from briarwood to blue creek school should be done to reduce need for cars bringing kids to school. A pedestrian trafic signal at school crossing would be good as well.

    BL19

This road is already used significantly by bikes. a bike lane should be implemented quickly.

It is very important to keep on-street parking on Poly as along most of it there is no alley and thus no way to park behind one's house, and there are few side streets to accommodate visitor/overflow parking, especially on the south side of Poly. Also, population density on Poly is greater than it first appears since there are numerous "hidden" residences behind the ones that can be seen from the street plus many apartments near 17th Street West. In addition, lots of on-street parking is necessary for activities such as Summer Fair, the Festival of Cultures, and soccer and football games at Veterans Park, Rocky Mountain College, and/or the Hilands Club.

Bus service is needed between the airport and the transfer centers, ideally with some long-term parking available near the transfer centers. Airport buses should run when planes arrive and depart, which for Billings is from very early in the morning tilllate at night.

That there is only one way in and out of Skyview High School is a serious safety risk besides being probably the worst traffic jam in Billings each morning and afternoon that school is in session. There needs to be road access from the west, north and south in addition to the east. It is a mystery to me how the neighborhood, students, parents, and staff have put up with the situation all these years.

  15. May 31 2014

Lincoln lane and Liberty St~The pavement here is atrocious, still part gravel, and this street is getting a lot more traffic due to the Bench connector and fast food access.

  16. May 31 2014

Pave our street~ Every time it rains, the street washes out and an irrigation culvert is exposed, causing a hazard for drivers. We don't need a bike path, trees or landscaping, we need pavement.

Please construct an alternate route connecting Highway 3 with Shiloh and/or Molt Road. Zimmerman Trail is way over-used by heavy truck traffic. It is unsafe because of unpatrolled and unticketed speeders and illegal trucks hauling hazardous material up and down the trail. The time has come to get out of the problem and into the solution. The solution: Build an alternate route connecting Highway 3 with the west end. The safety and quality of life for Billings residents living on or near Zimmerman Trail is substantially diminished!! PLEASE TAKE ACTION...SOON!!!!

  18. May 29 2014

Please consider an alternate route off the rims similar to Zimmerman trail. Zimmerman Trail is to unpredictable with the weather and rocks to be a sustainable route. Also, the detour route around Zimmerman Trail is significant. Thanks

  19. May 27 2014

Access from the Heights and off Highway 3 to the west end of Billings needs an alternate route, highlighted by the prolonged closure of Zimmerman Trail. I live atop the rims and am keenly aware of the problems. Many people drive from the Heights to the west end and back, almost all on Zimmerman (when it's open). An alternate route using the revamped Shiloh Road (often empty of traffic now) would relieve these problems and help growth for Billings and environs.

  20. May 20 2014

We strongly agree that there needs to be an alternate route from on top of the rims to the below the rims. We live near Zimmerman Trail and use it multiple times weekly. We have been denied access to our home from Zimmerman and airport road dues to accidents, maintenance, guardrail fixes, icy conditions, fires and presidential visits. It is wisdom to have another access/exit in the event of emergencies.

Zimmerman Trail is not capable of handling the extra traffic that it will gain from the addition of the Inner Belt Loop. Even less ready are the streets below Zimmerman. A new larger route West of Zimmerman would serve the city of Billings better and further into the future. Thank You.

  22. May 16 2014

I strongly support adding a connector from the top of the Rims to Molt Road to help relieve traffic on Zimmerman Trail and provide an alternate path should Zimmerman Trail be closed for some reason. This may also help to relieve traffic on Rimrock and Poly roads from the west end.

  23. May 05 2014

There needs to be a more durable byway solution from Rt 3 to Rimrock road. Roads from Indian Cliffs to Ironwood and/or Yellowstone Golf Club developments should be considered.

  24. May 05 2014

Shorey Road should be paved to provide one alternative access from Rt 3 to West End. This will provide some relief from Zimmerman Trail.

  25. May 02 2014

The current closure of Zimmerman has highlighted the need for another route off the rims on the west end. A new route would also provide a suitable route for heavy truck traffic which is currently using Zimmerman. The steep decent of Zimmerman into residential neighborhoods, through school zones and retirement housing is unsafe and inappropriate. Also, the inner loop connection to HW3 at the top of Zimmerman should be moved to the west to connect with a new route off the rims. The current plan to tie into Zimmerman will dramatically increase traffic on Zimmerman and the neighborhood streets below which is counter to the goals of transportation planning. Billings is going to grow dramatically in the next 40 years. Let's get ahead of the growth with a new route instead of investing in a new set of problems.
