State Street is not designed to accommodate full bike lanes and should not be designated as a preferred bike path. Reducing a traffic lane here would be devastating to vehicle traffic trying to access the North end of the core.

This bike and walking crossing used to be very responsive. Over the last two years, the long wait times frequently cause pedestrians and bicyclists to impatiently "run" the signal.
Is this a computer timing issue, or an increased volume of traffic right of way on Front?

Lemp is heavily traveled as a cut through street from/to State and Harrison and beyond. There have never been sidewalks from 22nd to 25th on either side of Lemp, even though it leads directly to two elementary schools (Lowell to the West, and Washington to the East). In such a heavily walked and biked neighborhood, the lack of sidewalks on Lemp has been a long term oversight, as well as serving as an encouragement for higher vehicle speeds through the neighborhood.

The recent immigrant population housed at the west end of Gerrard St, who may not be familiar with US driving laws, drive way too fast on Gerrard St and then south on 32nd St. They typically drive down the middle of the roadway at speeds of 40mph or more. Major traffic calming, speed limit signs in their native language, or both is needed. There are quite a few pedestrians and bikes, including kids from these same neighborhoods using these same streets, especially to Sunset Park.

Sunset Ave is used as a cross town express to get from 36th St into the North End, either from traffic originating on State St or Hill Rd. Vehicles approach 32nd St from either eastbound or westbound Sunset at high velocity, normally roll the stop sign at 32nd St, swing wide into 32nd St as they then setup the apex to resume the high rate of speed on Sunset. Major traffic calming needed here.

Whitewater Apts has opened their emergency access road to Whitewater Park Blvd for about 6 months. Sight lines with existing fencing are woefully inadequate, making it a hazard when vehicles exit the apartments from this access. I suggest constructing a barrier along the road to prevent use of this private access.

Another heavily biked and walked intersection around schools and on the direct path to downtown. Lots of close calls here, too. Traffic flow here just seems too fast coming from state street north.

ACHD could partner with ITD and area businesses (IE Jacksons, Alberstons) to build a skywalk over state street at Whitewater Blvd. A safe passage over State street for both pedestrians and bicyclists would save lives.

I've given this feedback before, but crossing this intersection on foot or bike seems a bit dangerous. I've seen a number of close calls. I'd like to see this intersection changed to 90-degrees and the crosswalks/bike lanes made a bit more obvious.

I ride my cruiser bike year round. In the past, I just had to watch out for a few drivers once in awhile. Now, I pray that I make it alive to downtown Boise or wherever I ride due to drivers NOT stopping at stop signs in the North End, running red (not yellow) lights, turning with out looking, checking their cell phones while driving, moving into the bike lane before turning without checking to see if a bike is in the lane, sometimes yelling at me for obeying the law when they apparently do not know that a bike has the right away when they have a stop sign in the North End. I have also seen plenty of bike riders illegally riding through red lights, taking too many risks, and riding without lights while on dark streets in the North End. When I drive, I strive to be very careful. If this is still a "bike town" it should now come with a warning, ride at your own risk. All the surveys and comments can not change behavior. It just seems like Boise is all about growth (money) now. Good Luck

People who live on Pierce Park Lane are lacking a good way to get to the greenbelt because of Plantation Country Club... you either have to go west to Glenwood, or east to Plantation River Dr -> W Plantation Ln to the access path. Either option involves riding a bike quite some distance on 45mph State. Could some sort of easement through to Plantation Ln. be worked out?

I would like to see dedicated, protected bike lanes on 8th. We could lose a lane of parking

It's really difficult to walk eastbound on State in this area (between the Thriftway Home Center and Willow.) There's a little path on the south side of the canal, but the apartment complex cuts it off. (The north side of State in this area is also no picnic, but at least there's a sidewalk on most of it.) I'd prefer some attention this area for walkers.

Vehicle traffic north bound on Harrison from Hays does not have appropriate warning time to see and react as it negotiates the curve and approaches the crosswalk at Resseguie. Vehicles often don't slow or stop for pedestrians (school children) in the painted crosswalk, even if they are already part way across in the painted crosswalk. I've witnessed many close calls, particularly in the afternoon, with cars angrily beeping at pedestrians while approaching or waiting to cross myself, on my bike. Scary!

This Crosswalk is often ignored by vehicles and a crosswalk with blinking lights is suggested along with "Pedestrian Crossing" signs. This is a heavily crossed street between the strip mall and albertsons.

For years, this intersection has been an early morning accident waiting to happen. The volume of traffic has only steadily increased over the last two decades, and frankly it is unconscionable that none of the responsible agencies (achd, schools, city) have taken serious measures to ensure the safety of children walking and biking to school at North via this corner- especially in the early morning darkness! (While at North, our 3 children were instructed NOT to use this crossing, but rather take a longer, safer route.)
In ground flashing, and modernized above ground blinking lights (as in the new crossing on 27th) would seem to be a no brainer as a minimum here, and at all the corners approaching the school, for that matter.

This intersection has a crosswalk but during busy times of the day cars heading north off of Hays are speeding and don't have time to slow down or do not yield to pedestrians. It can take up of 5 minutes to cross Harrison. I would suggest a blinking light pedestrian crosswalk to alert drivers that they are approaching a crosswalk to try to get people to acknowledge the crosswalk.

I believe 8th and 9th should not be used for cycling or bike lanes and use another north/south street for a bike path. These streets are heavily utilized by car traffic. 15th is a great example of a north/south route for bikes and bikes can use then entire lane on 13. We do not need another street that has a bike path so close to the others. I ride on 6th or 7th to reduce my interaction with car traffic.

Cars drive very fast on this road. There are also skate boarders that recreate here making this intersection dangerous. It is difficult to exit Cave Ct, the left side is blind and speed of traffic is dangerous. Speed bump prior to the turn may help or mirror ?

The "island" here makes this very dangerous for cyclists. Cars allowed to park on either side of the street before and after the island add to the congestion. It has not slowed traffic but made this more dangerous. Additionally, is the lack of a sidewalk on the north side of the street, which is dangerous.

8th street is not safe in the mornings or evenings. With the parking on both sides of street it reduces visibility. Something needs to be done for bikers, peds and autos to stay safe!
