Lemp and 28th St is a very busy intersection during school times because of St. Mary's and Lowell traffic. The rear parking lot entrance at St. Mary's makes for nearly a 5-way intersection between 28th and Lemp. Crosswalks across Lemp (north to south at 28th) and across 28th at Lemp may help pedestrians and bikers feel safer about crossing this busy intersection.

Southbound bike traffic on 26th should have its own cross walk. As it stands now, southbound bikes need to use the crosswalk on the east side of 26th street forcing them to ride against traffic OR cross on the west side of 26th where there is not a cross walk. Not safe and too confusing for drivers, walkers, bikers.

Ellis is already designated a bike route, which is great. But the sidewalks up and down Ellis lack curb ramps at various intersections. The 23rd Street intersection just south of Ellis makes for a safe crossing point on State Street because of the cross walk and lighted intersection. This could be great access to the Greenbelt. But the lack of curb ramps where Alturas, 23rd and Ellis meet makes for a troublesome area for young kids on bikes and for stroller maneuverability. More curb ramps on sidewalks please!

Lack of continuous sidewalks along Collister is an issue for Pedestrians, especially children walking to school

Eliminate parking on Fort Street to allow room for bike lanes between 1st street and 15th street

Eliminate parking on Fort St between 15th and Broadway to allow room for bike lanes. Fort is the best route for bike thru put between E, SE and N, NW, and W Boise riding areas.

The south bound crossing of Front between the Grove and Bodo is HORRIBLE for bicycles. You either find yourself swinging out in front of oncoming turning traffic or ending up among pedestrians on the wrong side of the street.

Generally we need lower speed limits on through streets in the North End and engineered traffic calming to see that traffic obeys the limits. Through traffic might have to experience some inconvenience to preserve the quality of life for residents of the North End.

We need sidewalks on the north side of Sherman Street, east of 5th street so that our kids can walk to school safely. Cars already do not observe the posted 20mph speed limit, there is a blind curve going up the hill and this will only get worse with the Sherman Hollow development going in.

In this specific area, drivers are often confused about pedestrians in crosswalks (not stopping for them), yielding to bikes improperly (car has no stop sign while the crossing bike in road has stop sign). Drivers often improperly wave through a biker trying to be nice, but they are waving a biker through into traffic that may or not be aware of the waving through.

There have been daily occurrences of delivery drivers using the bike lane as parking here (8th from Main to Bannock). No good.

Every other light cycle, I see drivers taking the bike lanes as an escape route to get around a car waiting at the intersection to turn left. Some adjustment to the light sequence, a turn lane, or protected bike lane would be great before an impatient driver kills a pedestrian or biker.

when there's line of cars going down Hill, and a car wants to turn into the north end or foothills, but has to yield to opposing Hill traffic, the cars behind them invariably take the bike lane to get around the car turning left. They need to be reminded that the bike lane is not an optional lane for cars.

the medians on 15th force cars and bikes to merge, and separate, and merge over and over, and that's dangerous

I don't know how to respond to a particular comment so I'm leaving a box below the person that said Irene is inappropriate for bike use. This is patently ridiculous. I commute by bicycle and often have routes that require me to go through the north end to get to north west boise. Irene is the best through fair for bicycles when it comes to these routes. I'm so sick and tired of driving centric logic that bicycles need to just get out of the way of routes preferred by cars. This asinine logic is what pits users of different modes of transportation against each other.

Fort street needs bike lanes from 15th to Broadway. Restrict parking to one side of the street to make room for bikes.

The school needs a protected drop off zone. Create a place on the north side of the street that allows cars picking up or dropping students to move a little further out of moving traffic

This block is pretty scary on a bike. It is just too tight and needs bike lanes as well as protected drop off zone.

Remove parking on north side of street and add bike lanes. This area is too congested, especially with all of the St. Joe's drop offs in the morning.

The intersection of hill rd and lancaster needs a stop sign or a flashing pedestrian crosswalk. It is like playing chicken to try and cross the street there no matter what time of the day, unless there are no cars on hill, people either dont see you holding the orange cross flag or dont care, i walk there several times a day with my baby and everytime i pray we dont get hit by a car. With all the new housing projects in the neighborhood is just going to create more traffic and it will become harder to cross at that intersection. There are lots of kids and people on foot and on there bikes and we need to be able to safetly cross the streets to get home and enjoy our neighborhood

I would like to disagree with the other commenter at this location - Widening any intersection or roadway on 13th in any location should not be considered, at all. Every option to further narrow this road and use bulb-outs should be considered.

This intersection sees a lot of traffic, and could be safer for bikes and pedestrians by slowing down traffic. The corner radius for turning eastbound on Resseguie is probably too large - making the corner much tighter will slow down cars considerably. The same is true for turning westbound on to Resseguie from southbound Harrison

Sidewalks are inconsistent in this part of the north end. For example no side walk from 22 and Hazel to 24th and Hazel. Kids have to hop on the road to go to school.

There is a lot of foot traffic crossing resseguie at this part of the 17th street intersection. The oddity of the intersection and the significant traffic and parking creates vision problems as well as near misses for pedestrians and bikers alike.

How about making 15th St. from Fort to Hill a 20 mph zone like 13th? There are two schools and many kids and walkers in the neighborhood and 30 mph is just too fast for cars to stop to allow pedestrians and cyclists to cross.
