Irene St is fast becoming an important connection form the State St/ Whitewater Blvd.area and from Hill Rd. A bike route designation should be considered from State Street to Camels Back park and other connectors to downtown.

20mph please!

Please make it 20mph in the North End, and well marked!

Cross walk across Brumback! Foothills traffic is moving very fast. Please add "20mph" sign and patrol for speeders please! Lots of neighbors walking pets up and down this street! It is dangerous!!!

Needs well marked cross walk to get across the busy and dangerous 8th street. Cars come VERY fast down 8th street.

A small bike path here would divert southbound cycle traffic away from the Fort/6th intersection. 7th Street is a quiet and safe route into downtown.

A very useful connection between Cartwright and Hill Road. Presently marked 'no trespassing'. Could ACHD acquire an easement for walking/cycle traffic?

A crossing at Burke would connect to the Sunset Park bike path, and provide access to the Sycamore/Collister neighborhood. A small median island (like on 15th Street) would provide security and visual protection for pedestrians/cyclists.

Sidewalks on the north side of Hill Road, please, where it is feasible.

Could a walking path be constructed on top of the concrete retaining wall? It would be native-surface, but would enable pedestrians to travel Hill Road away from traffic, and without unnecessary crossings.

It's probably too late now, but connectivity through the Sherman Gully is very helpful. Can ACHD secure an easement for a walking/bike bath?

This is a very useful connection for the residents of the North End to access Military Reserve. Could ACHD explore creating an easement?

This is a nice cut-through from the North End to Military Reserve. Could ACHD explore securing an easement for a walking/bike path?

The gully at the top of Resseguie Street is a REALLY useful connection to the Ridge to Rivers system. Presently, it has several unofficial trails on it. Could ACHD explore creating a permanent travel easement? The landowner might be amenable.

Presently, this is a closed/private road.
I would not want this to ever turn into a main road (it would be used as a cut-through), but could ACHD explore the possibility of opening a walking/cycling path only?Liked 9 times -
Ellis/26th is an excellent bike route... quiet, with only a couple of stop signs. A safe and friendly way for my 6-year old and me to cycle from the north end to NW Boise.

26th Street is the best street for cycling between NW Boise (eg the 36th street Bistro) and the North End (eg Boise Coop)... it's direct, quiet, and connects to Ellis Street, another nice bikeway.

It's my understanding that 32nd isn't supposed to be a main trafic corridor. Considering that there is a busy city park here and no sidewalks along much of 32nd it seems more than reasonable to lay sidewalks using existing roadway.
Currently this road is an accident waiting to happen. In the summer there is a large amount of foot and bike trafic along with increased vehicles (MANY of those blaze through the area very fast). Again, there is room to increase safety, calm traffic and create more effective access.

this could be the best city in America if we learned a few thigs from Europe, Germany in particualr.. There are areas that should be duper slow and some totally w/o cars for perdiosa of time.. 8th street and harrison should be preserved by drastically slowing traffic

please please make it 20 mph through the whole north end.. this is suppose to be a historic street not a highway. ive witnessed so many near misses.. its gotten much worse in the last few years

something to slow traffic on Harrison, cars are going over the speed limit and not paying attention to pedestrians, I sometimes count up to 7 cars that drive past me while I wait to cross the street

We cross here by bike and on foot to get to school. (From Winsome over to Ranch) People drive ridiculously fast and it is scary every single time. Would LOVE to see a crosswalk put in. It's great that a 25 mph sign was recently put in for this intersection, but it's still super scary and dangerous for me and my young children.

There is no ramp on this southeast corner of 11th & Sherman. The other three corners have modern curb cuts, but this one is always an unpleasant surprise!

This is about where the sidewalks end on 9th Street. Walkers and unconfident bicyclists heading to the Hulls Gulch trailhead are forced to use the road, which also becomes a busy parking lot at the end.

Sidewalks, please! Children walking and biking to Lowell Elementary and Boise River Montessori Preschool (on 26th near Breneman) are forced to share the road with drivers who are often driving too fast.
