Very dangerous crossing for bicyclists/peds. Ideally a separate underpass or overpass would be here that connects to the Farmers Lp bike path. If not vertical separation at the Steese, at least an ped/bike island on the Steese & something like a designated shoulder or horizontally separated path in front of Sourdough or on the north side of Farmers that connects to the bike path via an underpass west of Old Steese.

Dalton Tr from Yankovich to Kittiwake needs a shoulder and/or bike lane at least on one side. This is a fast growing residential neighborhood and once a bike lane is constructed on Yankovich there will be high demand for access via N. Dalton. Also, connects to Equinox Trail.

Dangerous pedestrian and bike crossing area. I have seen peds crossing 4 lanes of traffic (Farmers Lp) here in twilight conditions. They are accessing the bike path enroute to UAF or going to Ballaine Lake and trails.

Dangerous intersection for crossing vehicles, bicyclists, and peds. Also, ORVs/snowmachines use this intersection in winter. Needs better signage/light and/or separation between vehicles turning, vehicles on GPH, and non-motorized traffic.

More emphasis needs to be placed on snow REMOVAL, not just plowing. Snow berms deposited along roadways are a safety hazard to those using the fixed bus route system. It also makes it nearly impossible for those with a physical disability or using a mobility device to access the bus. This issue continues to re-occur regardless of financial status of the state, borough or city.

The railroad crossing on Univ. Ave causes huge traffic backups, especially during morning rush hour. Grade separate this crossing.

Provide a continuous, marked bike facility along Airport Way. The right of way (including shoulders and frontage roads) is extremely wide, but there are no safe and continuous bike facilities. Surely there's room for a couple of bike lanes or a separated path.

This intersection near the railroad is frequently backed up with vehicle traffic. This poses a potential hazard should a train come.

What is the point of these street improvements? The sheer amount of "stuff" on these sidewalks is laughable. the sidewalk is now a dedicated place for lampposts and trash cans, rather than people. Please reconsider future selection and placement of streetscape objects.

Bicycle/pedestrian path sorely needed for busy neighborhood of Skyline Dr. Traffic speeds up and down this hill are greater than 50 mph regularly. It is the only access to adjacent streets making it an extreme hazard to pedestrians, bicyclists, children and pets.

Bicycle/pedestrian path sorely needed for fast growing population on Cripple Creek Rd. Speed limit is 40 mph, but most traffic goes much faster and it is not safe to walk or ride on roadway.

This pathway is practically unusable for bikes, let alone strollers, runners, skaters or walkers. Nominate for worst patch of path in the system due to root damage

Sidewalk Jog on NW corner creates blind corner for pedestrians, bikes and cars, please redesign this pathway!

As many have mentioned Roland Road, with the increased development in the Koponen area and others along the ridge, has quickly become a high traffic artery. The Pedestrians/bikes and cars at the intersection of Roland Road and Chena pump could greatly benefit from the addition of signaling/crosswalks.

This intersection is very dangerous for bicycles to cross due to the two eastbound right-hand turn lanes.

There should be a back way to the Birch Hill Rec area off of Lazelle.

Generally speaking, and not just in one area: the roads need to be swept so that bicyclists do not ride on the white line.

Roland Road needs to be upgraded to handle the type of traffic seen on this roadway now.

Right on red at this intersection gets cyclists! Cyclists get hit when motorists roll through or stop and don't see the cyclists because they may be focused on watching for east bound traffic.

On a daily basis I see bicyclists, joggers, and walkers, many of them young children, traveling on the shoulder of Chena Ridge road. The shoulders are very narrow and not safe when you factor in that many cars travel this road at speeds in excess of 60mph. Many people live in Chena Ridge neighborhoods and they commute by bicycle/foot and it is just a matter of time before a vehicle kills a bicyclist or walker. I ride my bike daily but I will not ride it on Chena Ridge road as it is too dangerous. Please make a bike path a priority.

When you are biking to this intersection from the north going south and then east, it is very dangerous to cross the vehicle off ramp for vehicles that are exiting to college road heading west. They come fast and quick and are difficult to see because of bushes. The bike/ped crossing angle is awkward because of the road angle.

Chena Pump has a great (mostly) bike path. It should be extended the length of the Ridge. It is vary dangerous for bikes and pedestrians. There are a lot of people who enjoy biking it for exercise, but it is not very safe.

Traffic calming needed on 8th Avenue between Kelllum & 6th Avenue. Unlike the other nearby Avenues, 8th is straight and provides a short-cut route not just for cars, but also cyclists as well as pedestrians headed downtown or walking to school, the library, or the bus stop at Cowles, Many drivers speed along the section between Kellum & 6th because it is long, straight, and wide. Adding a sidewalk and clearly marking the route as shared use would narrow the street and improve pedestrian and cyclist safety.
