Sidewalk Meets Standard
TSP Projects SW3 and SW14. The City of Hood River coordinated with ODOT to realign Country Club Rd. to intersect with Cascade Ave. at Mt. Adams Ave. Enhanced pedestrian crossing improvements were made on the south side of Cascade Ave. However, the width of the intersection on Mt. Adams Ave. was widened, requiring more time for pedestrians to cross Mt. Adams Ave. And, illumination was not installed. Citizens are demanding safety improvements. Feasibility of signalization should be reviewed.

Sidewalk Meets Standard
Pedestrian crossing improvement project (TSP Project CR3) should be a priority and additional measures should be considered to improve pedestrian access between downtown and waterfront along 2nd Street.

Substandard Sidewalk Facility
Speeds on Lombard between N. Buchanan and N. Ida are signed at 35MPH. This should be brought down to 25MPH as it is through St. John's. There is so much going on between these streets, that driving here at most times tops out at 30MPH.

Sidewalk Facility Gap
Ideally a sidewalk installed on Canyon Road would run continuously down the hill to the existing sidewalk near the intersection at 87th.

Substandard Sidewalk Facility
This intersection needs a crossing, and Lombard needs a road diet.
This intersection would be a gateway to the North Piedmont neighborhood, but instead is a danger to anyone trying to cross Lombard. The proximity to MAX and bus transit, Fred Meyer, and a private school brings constant foot traffic to this intersection. However, Lombard with 4 lanes of traffic and zero speed enforcement is a is a dangerous moat for people living North of the street.
Why is Lombard, a residential street only welcome to freight and people in motor vehicles? Reduce it by a lane each way, add crosswalks, add a North side I-5 crossing. It will help the local economy.

Interstate, freeway, or expressway
A pedestrian bridge here would make a huge difference for north of Lombard residents on both sides of I-5. This was something the Reimagine Lombard plan called for also. Because Lombard is so unpleasant to walk on, people end up driving to nearby locations when otherwise they could walk or bike. To get to all the amenities of nearby Kenton or St Johns, a walker or bicyclist has to go over the unsafe and unpleasant I-5 crossing, or go far out of their way to access the nearest pedestrian bridge at Bryant, many blocks away. Please consider putting a pedestrian bridge here.

Sidewalk Meets Standard
Need a safe crosswalk here. So many pedestrians are walking to the Max station, bus stop, and Fred Meyer without any nearby crosswalk. I've seen young children trying to run across Lombard here and narrowly miss getting hit by the fast-moving traffic.
