Sidewalk Meets Standard
Not having a crosswalk on the east side of Milwaukie crossing Powell, and needing to press the button for the crosswalk on the west side of the street (otherwise the light will cycle through sans the pedestrian crossing signal) really makes pedestrians and bus riders feel like second class citizens. There are so few ways to cross Powell to get to Brooklyn as a bike/ped, it feels insulting that the biggest intersection in the area is so ped/bike unfriendly. This is otherwise a very walkable area!

The bus stop just before the Ross Island Bridge is terribly awkward to access from the north (i.e. the NCNM triangle). Cars are all either entering or leaving a major highway/interstate and aren't on the lookout for pedestrians (or bikes). Routes are long, roundabout, and not clearly marked. Area lighting is poor, and it's easy to feel like the invisible man at night. The entire Ross Island western bridgehead desperately needs an active transit makeover.

Update map to show the sidewalk completed in 2014 between Park Ave and Courtney.

Need a better transition from the bikeway on 16th to NE Irving Street. Cars entering the freeway do not yield to bikes or pedestrians.

We need a crosswalk here PLEASE!! The cars never stop and people are likely to get hit waiting in the left turn lane to cross. Right by the bus stop would be a great spot for everyone wanting to enter/leave campus or the food places across the street. Thanks!

This whole stretch of highway near the intersection of Park Ave at McLoughlin is a death trap for bikers and pedestrians. The speed limit needs to be reduced, traffic laws need to be enforced, bike lanes need to be wider, and the sidewalks need to be improved.

This sidewalk is very dangerous. In fact, there is a temporary sign up on the east side of the intersection at Park Ave and McLoughlin telling northbound pedestrians to use the trolley trail. The sidewalk is very narrow and it's not far from cars speeding by at 50 mph or more (because nobody goes the speed limit here unless they just stopped at the traffic light). Pedestrians are walking north with their backs turned against oncoming traffic, and I think someone recently got hit by a car here. The trolley trail is not going to work for pedestrians needing to turn off the road to the right. Try reducing the speed limit, too. Thanks!

NE 132nd Ave bike/ped bridge over I-84, as mentioned in the 2012 East Portland In Motion (EPIM - page 111), as a future project "identified need in a local plan".

A bike/ped MUP or cycle track is needed on the east side of 205, to connect with Kelly Butte and the bike lanes on SE 96th.

A lot of Cleveland High School students (and others) cross Powell at 28th even though it is not an "enhanced crossing." This is an unsafe location to cross and should be upgraded to be safer.

Creating and improving sidewalk facilities on West Main will greatly improve active mobility between Molalla Market Center (Safeway) and downtown. In addition to general public connectivity, there are many residents along HWY 211 who would greatly benefit.

Approximately 10-20% of sidewalks facilities along 211 are ADA compatible. Even where sidewalk surfaces are compatible, addressing ADA issues on ramps is a high priority for Molalla.

Creating sustained, two way passage on this section of pathway between Industrial Way and Molalla Market Center (Safeway) is the lowest hanging fruit for developing Molalla's cycling and pedestrian network along ODOT facilities. Over the course of the year, it is expected that north and south Industrial Way will be connected by a trail and open for bike/ped traffic. Via existing bike/ped networks on Toliver Road, this trail will connect nearly all of Molalla's northern neighborhoods to HWY 211.
From Industrial Way, existing conditions in the westbound direction are unsafe due to an incomplete network. Eastbound for bicycles would require a dangerous crossing in addition to incomplete facilities. With Molalla Market Center being a highly desirable destination, currently difficult to access without a motor vehicle, completing this connector would make a huge difference.

These ramp accesses feel really dangerous to walk through. Cars frequently roll through the stops and typically don't seem to see pedestrians unless they're about ready to hit them. Part of the issue may be that the ramps abut local access roads which increases the crossing length.

I like that the bus stops at the bottom of my street. the location is wonderful. We also have a scout improving the bus stop at Jade for his Eagle Scout project. I do the Canyon Road run to cross the street in the morning, but do not want to see the bus line moved. I would rather that the state provide safe crossing opportunities and or lower the speed limit on Canyon. It would be best if the State could improve Canyon with sidewalks, shoulders and pedestrian crossing signals.

From the I205 MUP there is no access to the Madison South neighborhood. Access to the neighborhood from the MUP will be critical as Gateway Green developes.

Existing Enhanced Crossings
I tried crossing here once, and the car that stopped for me immediately got rear-ended. Gladly I had already walked passed the car so I was unaffected, however the two vehicles that collided were not so fortunate. Markings are not clear, needs flashing lights

There is a serious lack of safe crossings in Linnton, a neighborhood that has been bisected by a high speed roadway. Another crosswalk is needed connecting the main residential area to the business area, preferably at NW 112th Ave. It is a harrowing experience to cross here when cars are often in excess of the speed limit by 10-20mph.
