Sidewalk Facility Gap
No sidewalk here. One has to either walk on the shoulder (the so-called bike lane), or walk in mud where there is room enough to.

More crosswalks are needed on Lombard in between Ida and Woolsey. Specifically here at N. Westanna lots of people cross the road. we could also use a crosswalk at McKenna.

No safe way to walk or bike along Cedar Hills south and under Hwy 26.

Sidewalk Facility Gap
There are no sidewalks or street lights between Meyers Rd and S. Caufield/Glen Oak, making this very dangerous. A person was killed walking along this stretch in Fall of 2014.

The Tri-Met bus stop in this area in inaccessible, due to lack of sidewalks or safe buffer for walkers. I decided to not allow my daughters to ride the bus to St. Mary's downtown, due to safety concerns. Instead, they were driven in and picked up every day by car, what a waste!!!

Crossing Needs
There is great need for a crosswalk on Canyon Road at the level of SW Garden View Ave for people getting in/out of buse 58 and wanting to cross those 4 lanes.

I try to avoid taking the bus to work in the mornings because it's so stressful to try to run across 4 lanes of Canyon Road on a blind curve, but when I must, I walk down Linden from SW West Point and walk to this point where the road straightens out enough to be able to see more in both directions and wait until it's dead quiet to make sure no traffic is coming until is seems safe to run across, then run along the edge back to the stop below Linden. It's a nerve-wracking way to start the day.

No sidewalk at all along this stretch, which is right by a bus stop. Judging by the well-worn dirt path, lots of people would use a sidewalk if one was installed along here.

All local HS students go to Lincoln and are required to take public transit since there is no parking at school and no school buses (except for one route over skyline). Yet in order to take the bus you have to cross Canyon Rd which has no signals for over a mile in each direction and average speeds around 55mph for all 4 lanes.

Bus stops on both sides of the road here. But in order to use the bus one must cross 4 lanes of Canyon Rd unprotected.

Pedestrian crossing with RFBs needed at SE Powell between 144th & 145th, to connect Fred Meyers to Bush greenway. Sidewalks needed all along Powell, of course.

There is a bus stop right here that one might think it was impossible to get to...every person getting on or off at this stop has to cross 4 lanes of Canyon Rd on a blind corner. Canyon Rd is such a well known speed area that the Photo Radar van is parked there about 50% of the time. Still the average speeds approach 55 even though the speed limit is 40. No sidewalks on either side of the road and no lighting either. Pedestrians and bus users (including all Lincoln HS students who must use the bus since there is no parking at school and no school buses) walk in the dark in the gutter hoping not to die because of the speeding cars inches away.

Interstate, freeway, or expressway
A sidewalk needs to be built under the I-84 freeway along NE 148th Ave, and a crossings with RFBs at both ends, not only for pedestrians, but to warn cars that bikes are going under the freeway.

The intersection of Pacific Highway at School and Garrett represents an opportunity for ODOT to narrow the highway and create an island, and update the existing pedestrian signal. The old shoulder on the southbound lanes (for when the elementary school used to be there) should be eliminated. A landscaped median should be installed between Park and Walnut to prevent left turns along this stretch.

There is an isolated sidewalk on the north side of Barbur for a TriMet bus stop with no safe way to get to it. There is no sidewalk access to the nearest traffic signal and no signalized crosswalk at the signal. There needs to be at a minimum a marked and signed legal crosswalk here.

Substandard Sidewalk Facility
Crosswalks at Hwy 43/Foothills Rd are substandard for ADA. Width is narrow for the volume of pedestrian traffic.

Sidewalks need to be available for transit riders.
Crossing opportunities are available, but dangerous with no landing space on the west side.Liked 0 times -

There is a major lack of crosswalks along 99E. I have seen more and more pedestrians trying to cross midblock. Where there is such a density of businesses and activity, more crossing opportunities are needed, even if that means more red lights or flashing beacons.

The 99E viaduct project is already in the RTP and will be sorely needed when the Willamette Falls Riverwalk is built. The redevelopment of the mill will require much better pedestrian facilities along 99E. Please prioritize!

Need safe place to walk and cross for bus access!! The City bus IS the school bus for high school student who live in this neighborhood. This is NOT a safe route to school!

Very narrow right-of-way between Hwy 43 and railroad. Alternate ped routes or creative construction solutions are necessary to complete this pedestrian route.
