omg why for real is there no bike lane here. have you seen how damn fast speeders drive, and how unsafe it is? and this is like, a major artery to the biggest employer in town. it makes ZERO SENSE.

  2. November 12 2024

Bike lane just ends and it goes into a shared road. this is fine for me as a biker but drivers do not realize this and constantly cut me off and push me into the curb.

  3. November 12 2024

This is a part separated and part protected bike lane. However, Pedestrians are constantly walking in the bike lane on their phones and not paying attention or hanging out in the protected bike lanes outside Student Rec instead of being on the sidewalk. The idea to create safe bike lanes was there but in practice there needs to be more delineation from the pedestrian paths and bike lanes so that pedestrians are aware of where they should not be.

Itd be nice to have a crosswalk to cross SW 13th Street when you're between SW 16th Ave and SW 14th Drive (the 2 nearest crosswalks).

  5. November 12 2024

Pedestrian crossing from neighborhoods to the park please!

  6. November 12 2024

Please create some sort of share use path to connect neighborhoods to avoid busy traffic along 34th.

  7. November 12 2024

Cars drive WAY TOO FAST through this narrow, winding bit of neighborhood. It's signed at 30 MPH, but really isn't safe above 20 MPH. Meanwhile many drivers attempt to go 40 MPH. Prime location for speed tables.

  8. November 12 2024

The northbound crossing signal at this intersection is nearly impossible to reach for someone on a bike. It should be about 3' east of its current location.

  9. November 12 2024

This roundabout is frequently full of backed up northbound car traffic that makes the whole thing hazardous to all road users. Generally speaking, cars enter the roundabout at high speeds, making them dangerous to pedestrians and bike riders. Speed tables before the roundabout would help.

Also, the northbound ramp to access the shared use path is unusable. I'm pretty sure that no bike riders were involved with the design of this intersection.

  10. November 12 2024

Drivers regularly turn right on red, despite clear 'NO RIGHT ON RED' signage. Cars and trucks regularly violate the STOP bar and encroach on pedestrian/bike infrastructure.

  11. November 12 2024

Bikes regularly ride on this road. Road needs to be repaved so that drivers do not swerve wildly to avoid potholes and endanger cyclists.

  12. November 12 2024

There's no way for Cyclist East-bound on 2nd Ave to easily get onto the shared use trail (at least South-Bound). Trail crossing has sharp corners that are hard to navigate on bike.

  13. November 12 2024

This intersection's pedestrian walk signals are WAY too short.

  14. November 12 2024

Cars leaving Aldi do not stop at the stop bar or sign, usually in the pedestrian crossing while looking left for traffic. I have nearly been hit here many times. Vegetation makes it difficult for drivers to see pedestrians to the East.

  15. November 12 2024

There are no pedestrian crossings between these intersections. I have seen people jaywalk across this busy road. :(

  16. November 12 2024

During big UF game days and all parallel parking spots are full, these streets turn into one-ways essentially. It would be great if there was a formal traffic flow for when people leave the games.

  17. November 12 2024

This crossing feels safe to me. The road it crosses over is a 1 way road and you can wait until theres a break from the flow of traffic, which happens frequently. I see bikers and e scooter riders use this all the time.

  18. November 12 2024

Gutters are too jarring to comfortably ride on a Bike Boulevard.

  19. November 12 2024

Bike lanes end abruptly with no ramps onto the sidewalks. Busy road and busy sidewalks, no ideal path for a cyclist.

  20. November 12 2024

Why does this bike lane start here abruptly? If someone wants to use this, they have to awkwardly get off the sidewalk thats raised higher than the road and restart on a busy road. Not to mention that RIGHT AFTER this bike lane starts is a stretch of road where cars are very quickly crossing over the bike lane to go right onto Archer. Start the bike lane earlier so that cars are used to having a bike next to them or start it a little later. After the archer road crosswalks would be perfect. That's usually where I merge from the sidewalk to the bike lane.

  21. November 12 2024

Difficult to see cars coming from either direction on the Southside of the Trail crossing.

  22. November 12 2024

There's no clear way for bicyclists to cross this intersection without going on the sidewalks.

  23. November 12 2024

Please create a School Zone with lights.

  24. November 12 2024

A pedestrian crossing nearby would make getting to the park from the South-side of the street safer than jaywalking.

  25. November 12 2024

Car right-turning lane crosses the bike lane here. Not great as a cyclist. Maybe add bike ramps to the sidewalk between intersection and graffiti wall.
