Every side street Gates to Landon should be converted to dead ends so that only local traffic use them. They should not be used as shortcuts between the major roads (Market and Northampton).
Pringle Street from Zerby to Grove needs traffic calming measures. The posted limit is 15mph but people treat it like a shortcut and go more than double that, often disregarding stop signs.

County rail right of way should be turned into a linear park for walking and cycling. Currently it's just overgrown. It could be something awesome with a big investment, but it could easily be turned into something nice and practical for the cost of some landscaping. I would connect Market Street all the way to West Pittston if you wanted it to.
Would benefit from a bike counter to show just how many people are using Market Street for recreation and commuting. Would help make the case for a separated bike lane on Market Street in Kingston.
Intersection would benefit from curb extensions so that pedestrians are seen. There are visibility issues here.
Pedestrian crosswalk button does not work, drivers turning left from downtown ignore car/bike/pedestrian right of way. I was actually hit here. This intersection really needs an all way stop when a pedestrian presses the button.

While not a busy roadway, it would be fantastic to see the railroad crossing on Durkee St paved over similar to what was done to those on Shoemaker and Hughes St. The current condition of the roadway at the crossing requires a really slow crawl for a lot of vehicles.
This intersection really needs an overhaul. Timing can only account for so much and ever increasing traffic backs up vehicles down to Welles and Rutter Ave during peak times. Not to mention traffic that backs up towards the Cross Valley.
The timing or sensors of the Durkee St. and Wyoming Ave intersection need calibrating. During the work week, the sensors appear to hold the Durkee St traffic at a standstill for 5+ minutes, to the point some drivers turning left just run the light when traffic clears.
On weekends, the sensors pick up vehicles almost immediately so obviously they work. Understandably Wyoming Ave gets priority, but other lights coming off side streets in this area do not have such long wait times.
This area, and Wilkes-Barre Township in general throughout the entire retail area, really needs improvements regarding pedestrian walkways. There are numerous dead-end sidewalks or crosswalks that lead to nowhere.
There are frequently pedestrians on the small shoulders of busy roadways in and around this area because of this. Actually completing sidewalks to connect to existing ones and providing clear walkways throughout the area would dramatically improve safety for pedestrians.
Too much street parking on what is basically little more than an alley
Make “no left turn off of the bridge”coming into West Pittston a priority! There are several close calls every day and it sometimes backs traffic up all the way over the bridge into Pittston. Currently it’s a dangerous situation for motorists, pedestrians & cyclists.
Traffic light needed at this intersection
Needs a traffic light. Multiple people have been hit in the pass.
To much fast traffic in a residential and business area. Maureen’s and the Heights cause a lot of slowing down and traffic. So many blind spots. Cars are coming up way to fast both lanes.
Large sinkhole. It’s going to swollen a whole truck one day!!!
Rain run off or water constantly flows on to the street. It becomes a sheet of ice every winter. Causes vehicles to slide into traffic.
Pothole in left lane to turn onto Highland Park Bvd needs filling.
Stop sign is hidden behind brush and trees. I almost got hit more than a few times by vehicles not seeing the stop sign. Needs to be trimmed.
Huge backups every weekend turning into Walmart. Light either needs to be longer or adjusted.
