There is a yield sign on this ramp (coming from Kingston) that should be a stop sign or red light. The majority of drivers miss (or do not respect) the yield sign and go right through it. The other entrance (coming from Forty Fort) to this ramp does not yield, so this causes close calls multiple times a week (I use this ramp 4x a day at least) and crashes.
A stop light is desperately needed here for traffic attempting to turn left coming off of the Cross Valley. It is extremely dangerous at high traffic times!
Very hard to make a left turn from Main Road Buttonwood onto San Souci Highway since left turn was installed for the sewer authorities.
South Church Road to Route 437/Tunnel Road
This section of South Church Road has deteriorated extensively over the past winter. This section was to be repaved last year but funding was reduced and only a small portion of the was done. It is splittng apart and has so many posholes and lack of roadway it is dangerous for all particularly school buses that travel on it. PLease complete the replacement of this section of roadway.
It is hard to see traffic coming from S Main Road at this intersection and there is risk of accidents when pulling out from Larchmont Way.
Left turns from S Main Rd onto 309 are hazardous, especially tractor trailers. I have experienced near miss there when I was behind one that turned left, car coming south on 309 skid into S. Main Rd and just missed hitting the front left panel of my vehicle. The trailers shouldn't be using that road. Thank you
Brush is grown up on the sides of the road making it impossible to see what is just around the corner. Also, there are still some major potholes that haven't been addressed since winter.
From heights road turning onto route 29 past Maureen’s ice cream is hazardous for residents to get on to route 29 due to speeding and the sharp corner that is hard to see oncoming traffic. Sometimes due to overgrown brush and in general
Foot deep potholes. Poor or no road markings. Pretty much the whole road is dangerous, especially at night. Also the roadside brush needs trimming
So you can see the stp signs where it meets rt118
Timed left turn lights should be installed at the intersection coming from both directions of Church street. People making left turns cut others off because they don’t want to wait and there’s been several incidents of near misses because of it. Or they will run the red light after it changes because nobody can make it through if there’s a lot of traffic.
SR 0115 N/B @ East Mountain Blvd. Traffic travels at high rate of speed. Red light violations. Truck restriction violations. High crash area.
The lack of a traffic light at this intersection makes it very dangerous for motorists attempting a left turn onto Wilkes-Barre Blvd from Route 309
Make Susquehanna Av. a one way street turning left off the bridge. So Susquehanna would be one way right turn onto the bridge moving with the flow of traffic into Pittston. Vehicles turning left off the bridge back up traffic on the bridge into Pittston and safety becomes a major factor.
Roadway is significantly deteriorated. There is inadequate width for two way traffic so drivers have to move into oncoming traffic.
Huntsville Idetown road has been a hazard and mess for nearly a decade. It has more poorly installed patches than original paved road. I live near the road (40+yrs) and can't remember the last time it was actually milled and repaved. I drove my motorcycle on it recently and it is dangerous. Somebody is going to get hurt or killed on the road between Huntsville Dam and Jackson Rd.
Main Road and 309, poor visibility due to a blind corner and trees and bushes.when trying to turn right from Main to 309. Cars going south on 309 often exceeding speed limit and many tractor trailers also on 309 S.
Very faded school zone signs—almost unreadable. There are multiple that need to be replaced in both directions.
This area needs a concrete divider here to prevent vehicles from making a left turn into Dunkin. There are signs in place stating no left turn, but people just ignore them. If there is not enough room fir a concrete divider, then part of the curbing and sidewalk needs to be reconfigured. They did this just 500 feet before this area to accommodate parking for businesses right before the Forty Fort borough building. This can also be done at this location too. If not, the driveway entrance to Dunkin must he closed off from Wyoming Ave. This would be the safest solution, but the worst solution for the business Dunkin.
This area has been an issue for years and years. When traveling north on Wyoming Ave in the far right lane, all traffic must turn right only. This only seems to happen about 75 to 80 percent of the time. When a vehicle decides to "just" go straight, and not turn right, they force the vehicles in the other two lanes into each other, which will eventually cause some sort of accident. Even though there are road marking defining where each lane is instructed to follow, some drivers drive through the intersection the incorrect route. A more permanent solution would take part of the curb and sidewalk away, and have a more sweeping angle for the right turn onto Market St, along with a low concrete divider, or rumble strips directing this far right lane to turn right everytime.
when entering rt 29 from the sugar notch on ramp there are 3 lanes to choose from. when continuing to 81 north there should be a merge sign to eliminate a "drag race" to the single lane
Roadway is deteriorating causing vehicle to move out of their travel lane into oncoming traffic. North river street requires total rebuild / redesign to west pittson bridge. The entire corridor / roadway is inadequate for the traffic flow .
Increased lighting and crosswalks
North River Stteet Wilkes-Barre people speed and cross over the double yellow lines. Crossing over double yellow lines is illegal.
I travel North River Street Monday through Ftiday to get to work and I see how impatient some drivers are and they pull out of the double lines and speed past the driver almost causing an accident
Absolutely definitely something MUST be done right now to put a stop to this.
Please do something NOW to prevent serious injuries or death's
North River Street in Wilkes-Barre ABSOLUTELY DEFINITELY MUST BE LOOKED AT RIGHT NOW TO PREVENT SERIOUS INJURIES OR DEATHS
Please don't wait on this issue!!!!
Thank you
There is no sidewalk or other safe route for kids walking along Main St to or from the Wilkes Barre high school. It is especially dangerous at night because there is also inadequate lighting. A fatality is inevitable.
Pulling onto Centre Street from Luzerne Street is extremely difficult because vehicles parked on Centre Street block the line of vision, so you must start partially entering Centre Street before you can fully see whether vehicles are approaching in both directions. I realize parking is necessary on Centre Street for businesses, but I wish at least one or two parking spots closest to the intersection could be eliminated to improve the line of sight. Thanks for listening.
