Plants obstructing sidewalk at the railroad tracks. This forces people out into the street to continue walking.
Market Street in Kingston needs a separated bike lane. Almost no one parks on the street, so it acts as a bike lane now anyway, with a little engineering it could be something awesome for the people of Kingston.
This would be a great place for an scenic vista/overlook. It's part of the park but it's shrubs and trees. You would have a great view of downtown if you ran a sidewalk up the hill and leveled out a section. How great would it be with picnic tables or something?
Coal Street needs a "HAWK" signal here. I know people are supposed to walk up 2 blocks, cross at Sherman then walk down 2 blocks, but they just jaywalk here and it's not safe. The people flying up and down Coal Street can stop for a few seconds and let the people who live in this neighborhood safely access their park.
too many accidents due to speeding. A 4 way stop is needed.
Pedestrian and Bike "cut through" would be awesome here. This would give people living in Edwardsville/Kingston the ability to walk or bike this potential shortcut to Market Street without making the neighborhood a shortcut for vehicles. Right now you have to go all the way around to Pringle or Northampton.
Give the people walking from Edwardsville to get groceries some dignity here and widen the sidewalk. The sidewalk is about 2 feet wide and vehicles fly by them.
"Bike Valet" where there are manned parking lots downtown. Many cities are doing this now. One reason people don't bike downtown is because they don't want their bike stolen, or their office has nowhere to store a bike. It's hard to describe. Look up "bike valet" and you'll see it's easy to implement with existing paid parking areas. I would pay the standard parking fee to know my bike is safely stored.
I know there are like 5 signs that say no right turn here (onto the one way South Washingston) but it happens almost every day and it is extremely dangerous. Maybe the intersection or sidewalk can be redesigned to make it difficult to even attempt turning the wrong way onto a one way street.
Traffic coming up the hill doesn't stop, but the cars that are stopped need to creep into the intersection to see if a not stopping vehicle is coming.
THIS IS THE WORST ROAD IN NEPA. It's the responsibility of the tiny borough of Pringle but used almost exclusively by people from Kingston and Edwardsville as it connects thousands of people to 309. The road is not wide enough for 2 cars, it has no lines, it's overrun by plants, there's no sidewalk or streetlights. It is extremely dangerous for many reasons, and I'm sure there's no incentive for Pringle to do anything about it. Just put a traffic counter there and you'll see it's insane the volume on a road that's engineered like a driveway.
Light needs to stay longer crossing wbt blvd there is a lot of traffic in that area but the light is not long enough crossing wbt blvd this is why there are so many accidents there
There is a handicapped parking sign here and a sidewalk that must be horrible for the handicapped person who lives there.
Every side street Gates to Landon should be converted to dead ends so that only local traffic use them. They should not be used as shortcuts between the major roads (Market and Northampton).
Pringle Street from Zerby to Grove needs traffic calming measures. The posted limit is 15mph but people treat it like a shortcut and go more than double that, often disregarding stop signs.

County rail right of way should be turned into a linear park for walking and cycling. Currently it's just overgrown. It could be something awesome with a big investment, but it could easily be turned into something nice and practical for the cost of some landscaping. I would connect Market Street all the way to West Pittston if you wanted it to.
Would benefit from a bike counter to show just how many people are using Market Street for recreation and commuting. Would help make the case for a separated bike lane on Market Street in Kingston.
Intersection would benefit from curb extensions so that pedestrians are seen. There are visibility issues here.
Pedestrian crosswalk button does not work, drivers turning left from downtown ignore car/bike/pedestrian right of way. I was actually hit here. This intersection really needs an all way stop when a pedestrian presses the button.

While not a busy roadway, it would be fantastic to see the railroad crossing on Durkee St paved over similar to what was done to those on Shoemaker and Hughes St. The current condition of the roadway at the crossing requires a really slow crawl for a lot of vehicles.
