A separated sidewalk/bike lane needed on the northbound span
Autos running right on red are a hazard to pedestrians at this crossing
A left turn from the parking lot onto Elden is difficult during rush hour. This maybe should be considered for designation as a "right turn only" intersection--like Grant and Elden--forcing left turning traffic to us the traffic light controlled exit close to Virginia Kitchen
This straight-away lends itself to lots of speeding especially during evening rush, and after 10p.
There have been many accidents here at this intersection, and we hear honking due to near misses daily
Sidewalk needs to be improved here.
A very odd, disjointed, and confusing, intersection that cars often run. Possibly use traffic calming paint or use faux cobblestone throughout this whole intersection in order to slow everyone down. Rumble strips have not helped here
Cars on Center Street frequently run or roll thru stop sign. Maybe a 3-way stop would help here.
North side of the Parkway is like a raceway. More enforcement needed, and maybe some traffic calming “Slow Down” flashing lights could be helpful?
Bikers frequently cross illegally here. Maybe more traffic calming paint or cobblestone at that intersection to make traffic slow down even more?
Dangerous intersection at Crestview and the trail. Maybe a stop sign needed? The vegetation on the trail just east of Crestview needs to be cut back for better visibility.
I’ve seen a man wandering around here in broad daylight with his pants down around his ankles. The abandoned Burger King lot adds a sense of danger to this whole section. I always hurry past quickly with my children.
The traffic direction sign here has been plowed down dozens of times in my 15 years of living here. Never seen it happen but clearly if it’s not safe for the sign, it’s not safe for pedestrians either.
Monroe between Pine and Jefferson has a difficult crossing issue due to high speed traffic on Monroe. How about some motion activated flashing lights on the crosswalk for pedestrians and a better sidewalk between Pine and across Jefferson? Crossing Jefferson with kids in tow always feels dangerous because drivers can’t even tell that the pedestrians intend to cross on to the root-ridden black asphalt trail.
Sidewalk situation here makes for a very wide and awkward crossing on a fast road for pedestrians with no painted crosswalk. Cars coming from Elden routinely soaring through at 35mph on Grant.
Stop sign here is constantly run through at high speed. Often children playing nearby.
Please add crosswalk for students here. There are 2 others further down the street but one would also make sense here for students walking from this direction.
There is no sidewalk from Elden st to 5th street here. Students traveling to/from Herndon Middle are often on the roadway/close to roadway due to desire path in mud. Please make into a safe sidewalk for students to use!
Sidewalk breaks here, causes road narrowing for town utility vehicles and can't get by
Blind intersection, almost been TBoned here twice
Whole pair of intersections here is a mess. People running the red to turn left onto van buren, traffic backed up and blowing through the stop signs.
The number of people that run red at this intersection is ridiculous
No sidewalks along Van Buren
Hpwy& Monroe
Accidents, speed, line of sight, cannot see the traffic light
Needs red light enforcement
