Bicycle Facility Gap
Biking along Lombard is unsafe and unsightly. Prefer to make this one lane in each direction and create a dedicated bike lane.

Interstate, freeway, or expressway
The bike only signal at the corner of NE Broadway & Williams is a good start but it is too easy to confuse it with a standard traffic signal for all vehicles. Better would be a signal that looks different, not just a template of a bike in the standard signal.

Shared Use Path
The I205 crossing over the river is actually noisier than the I5. I think because, unlike the I5 crossing, the I205 crossing has traffic noise on BOTH SIDES of the path. Noise barriers would make me much more likely to use this path.

Rural Shoulder Gap
99E is the most flat, direct and scenic route between O.C. and Canby. Any bike accommodations should be separated from the fast moving traffic. Any chance tourism or parks or scenic bikeway dollars could help out here. Especially if Willamette Falls Legacy Project, Molalla Forest Road, Amtrak/ Bike Bistro proceed. Also, parks, tourism, transportation coordination to connect a suspension bridge over the Molalla River at Molalla River State Park. This would link the Molalla Forest Corridor/ Molalla Forest Road to the Willamette at MRSP to Eilers Rd. which connects to Champoeg and the State Scenic Bikeway to Eugene.

Crossing Needs
Currently, approximately 4 miles of the Molalla Forest Road is a multi-use path in Canby terminating at the old log dump site on the banks of the Willamette River. The land owner of the 4 miles of MFR connecting to the south is in talks with the City of Canby and Clackamas County. He intends to donate said property (MFR from S. 13th Ave. in Canby south to Macksburg Rd.) to the City of Canby. MFR was a privately owned logging road for decades. The road bed and bridges remain to be strong and durable. One bridge is missing over the Molalla River.

Rural Shoulder Gap
Viaducts on either side of Multnomah Falls need to be widened somehow, despite being historic structures. Passing oncoming traffic can be dangerous and creates a huge traffic backup due to bottleneck effect created here and on the eastern viaduct.

Parking overcrowding on road shoulder creates dangerous conditions throughout summer. Separate bike lane or path, and improved parking facilities are needed very badly during busy season.

Substandard Bicycle Facility
NE 148th is one of the few streets in East Portland that crosses over/under I-84. The bike path is very narrow in the underpass area.

Shared Use Path
NE 122nd is one of only a few places in East Portland where one can cross over or under I-84. It's heavily used by vehicles; walking or biking along this underpass is treacherous at best.

This shared use path appears to end here -- and it might as well end here because getting from this point to the point north of the interchange is very difficult to navigate by bike or on foot!

The asphalt surface along this stretch of the I-205 trail is very rough, making the long uphill stretch very difficult for novice bike riders.

This is a very long, continuous hill when south bound. Sure would be nice to have a couple of level spots along the way (like newer paths have to have in order to meet ADA requirements).

The asphalt surface on the I-205 MUP through Maywood Park is in bad shape, especially at the north end where tree roots have caused some dangerous uplifting. Someone has attempted some repairs recently but there are still some difficult spots.
