    Bicycle Facility Gap

Why does this show as ODOT "gap" for only halfway across bridge? And north side only?

    Bicycle Facility Gap

there is a relatively new sidewalk path, connecting to bike lanes to the north (on 26) for a few blocks.

    Shared Use Path

las time I rode it the signing & marking at this end of path was not good, transition to 82nd Ave bike lane was poor, and the sidewalk path itself was not good.

    Shared Use Path

this path seems to suffer from gross underutilization. My guess why? Traffic noise, and a generally unpleasant environment. Possible solution? Move sound wall to other side of path...

    Rural Shoulder Gap

this whole "falls" area is unbelievably congested by private automobiles during the summer.
Here's a thought - make the road from Bridal Vail exit to Ainsworth SP exit one way...and devote the remained of the space to shoulders for non-auto bike/ped use.

    Crossing Needs

this "feels" like the most dangerous crossing on the I-205 path, especially northbound bikes exposed to the freeway-exiting right turners...ugh!

    Substandard Bicycle Facility

I would love a facility on McLoughlin/99E, maybe even aligned with the new Orange Line. The new facilities on 17th stop dead at 99E, leaving people who commute to/from Milwaukie in the weeds.

Why a MUP aligned with the Max line wasn't included to begin with is beyond me.

Either that or sharrows/bike lanes on 17th. Drivers on 17th pass too close and aggressively.

    Shared Use Path

this "path" is really a sidewalk. Needs a complete re-design for the connexion from the north end of the Slough Bridge to the I-5 bridge sidewalk paths.

modify divertor at entrance to Delta Park so bicyclists can make left turn into Park

    Bicycle Facility Gap

offset crossing at this signal is awkward for cyclists. 42nd is a city bikeway, with fair amount of bike use.

    Shared Use Path

This section is impossible to navigate and very dangerous. {Comment edited by moderator} People who are driving get a nice, straight road with wide shoulders, slip lanes, entrances and exits, and people biking get to ride across a highway, after falling off of a sidewalk and then hopping back up to another one.

The North side of the Morrison is difficult {comment edited by moderator} to cross as a pedestrian (with something like 6 sets of stairs) and impossible for someone in a wheelchair to use.
Meanwhile, people driving get nice, smooth on / off ramps. I vote that we remove the {comment edited by moderator} highway from this stretch of road and reclaim all of this waterfront land. People driving can simply go around.

Street signs (on Thurman) directed me to this extremely deadly area recently. Why {comment edited by moderator} is there signage instructing people to ride a bike on the highway shoulder (full of glass)?

Somehow a spiral loop-de-loop is your traffic solution for people proceeding forward (but only if those people are using their own power to propel them). If those same people are using {comment edited by moderator} fossil fuels to propel themselves, they get a nice friendly straight line or slip lane.

Where are the active transportation equivalents for I-5 and I-205? Why {comment edited by moderator} are there duplicate, parallel highways anyway? (99W, I-5, 43, 99E, 213, I-205). Isn't it a waste of space to give so much room for the most polluting, least efficient form of transportation, with no dedicated ROW for HCT or Active Trans? Priorities, priorities, priorities.

Why {comment edited by moderator} is there a highway in some of the most expensive real estate in the state? And why is there no parallel route for people who aren't polluting heavily.

    How long have people been asking for bike facilities here? I've heard about it for YEARS. Yet you do nothing. Now you're asking for more input. {Comment edited by moderator}

    Substandard Bicycle Facility

To provide a more helpful comment than the other uncivilized response, passing over the Vermont/Newbury bridges is completely substandard. Mixing 50mph auto traffic and bikes in the same narrow lane is inexcusable.

    Substandard Bicycle Facility

Walker Rd Fred Meyer, 15995 SW Walker Rd: The Walker Rd entrance to Fred Meyer (across from McDonalds) is dangerous for both pedestrians and bicyclists. I realize Walker is going to be revamped in a few years, but that might not be soon enough... Maybe some green paint at least?

State Street (HWY 43) through Lake Oswego needs a bike lane, and one that is wide enough to avoid the storm drains that are every 25 feet.

The slip lane from I-5 creates dangerous conditions for westbound cyclists on Broadway and for cyclists turning right onto Broadway from Flint. The slip lane should be removed.

There needs to be a bicycle through connection from downtown Portland to Hood River, primarily using Class 1 (separated, protected) facilities. The Sullivan's Gulch trail should be extended to meet up with the existing I-84 path at 122nd, which then should be extended east through the Gorge to Hood River, using a combination of new pathways and the Historic Highway where it is closed to cars.

This roadway is in need of expansion somehow to allow cyclists a safer ride on the uphill. There are a lot of motorists trying to pass cyclists here.
