Existing Enhanced Crossings
The city of Portland is trying to construct a 20's bikeway going north-south. It would great to see the state provide an appropriate bicycle crossing at the intersection.

Crossing Needs
One of the worst crossings in all of Portland. Need a ped island and RFB crosswalk at NE 97th & Glisan, shorter left-turn lane to SB freeway for cars. Wider sidewalks along Glisan, both sides. The north-south signals should have a pedestrian priority for 10+ seconds before car signal. Consider underpass for Glisan, like at Division.

Shared Use Path
The 205 MUP crossings at Stark & Washington are too narrow for bikes, especially if two or more bikes are going in opposite directions. Need to double the sidewalk and ramp widths on Taco Bell block, and add a sharper corner for the off-ramp from 205 at Stark St.

Shared Use Path
The MUP needs a ramp and RFB crossing of SE 92nd at this location. The sidewalk along 92nd is too narrow for bikes, and the traffic on 92nd too fast to cross without a beacon.

Bicycle Facility Gap
The "bike lane" (subpar though it may be) on SE Milwaukie/12th drops off at the intersection with Powell, then picks right back up on the other side. Most riders going south ride along the crosswalk (conflict with pedestrians) while those going north either have to cross to the other side of the road, then cross back over to ride in a crosswalk, otherwise they have to mingle with relatively high-speed, high-volume traffic (very uncomfortable).

Enhance the roadways that connect communities: Tigard to Lake Oswego. Bonita serves as a low-stress connection.

Shared Use Path
The multi-use path from I-5/217 should have connectivity north and west, preferably to Fanno Creek Trail for commuters.

Bicycle Facility Meets Standard
If it meets standard, we should consider raising the standards here - the discomfort level along 99E is high due to the speed to traffic. Has ODOT considered plastic pylons to separate the lane with more distinction?

Bicycle Facility Gap
Poor bike facilities on Hwy 43 drive folks to use Terwilliger.

Substandard Bicycle Facility
Old River Road is a much nicer facility than Hwy 43. The route is great for casual riders but needs further connectivity for bicycle commuters.

Substandard Bicycle Facility
Has ODOT considered plastic pylons separating the new bike lanes from the vehicle lanes? These could increase comfort and safety.

Substandard Bicycle Facility
Bike facilities along Hwy 43 through Lake Oswego do not exist. The outside lanes, though wider, do not accommodate bike and vehicle traffic well. Bus stops, driveways, railroads, and storm drains are difficult for bicyclists to navigate. An off-roadway route that continues to Portland or across to Milwaukie would benefit riders most.

Substandard Bicycle Facility
There are signed bike lanes leading to nowhere in this area - the southbound lane becomes a shoulder and eventually narrows to almost nothing when passing downtown OC. This is a dangerous situation that should be rectified as soon as possible.

Bicycle Facility Gap
No bike lane striped along the viaduct. Vehicles pick up speed in the downhill section.

See recently completed Tigard Triangle Plan - bike/ped overpass potential at Southwood/Beveland across I-5.

Bicycle Facility Gap
Intersection needs a loop detector for bikes waiting on Mill, or a more easily triggered bike / ped crossing button. Right now this intersection requires riders to dismount and enter the sidewalk to access the ped crossing button.
