Lots of kids and parents walking to Harper's playground in the area. Need cars to slow down and more safe opportunities to cross Lombard.

Review each bus stop between Park Avenue and Glen Echo. Every bus stop should be at a signal or a pedestrian island. Add pedestrian islands or move bus stops to achieve this goal.

The topography limits the roadway width between 7535 SW Canyon Road and 8519 SW Canyon Road. This is a residential neighborhood of families with a major high traffic road that has zero speed control between the addresses noted. This has reduced the livability of the neighborhood. Obviously an oversight by those who plan these arterials. The speed MUST be reduced to 30 mph max. Another major problem is lack of safe passage for bicyclists and pedestrians around the bend between the noted addresses. I emphatically suggest reducing the vehicle travel lanes from four to three in this area and use the gained width to establish pedestrian lanes on both sides around the bend. This would also serve to calm the traffic speed and possibly deter those motorists who need speed to use the freeways. Three lanes and a slower traffic would make it easier and safer for those who need to take the bus to cross the road to get to or from a bus stop. A safe zone midway in the road between traffic lanes could also be established near the bus stops to help those crossing the road.

No bike lane or sidewalk on SW Scholls Ferry Rd from SW Beaverton Hillsdale Hwy to SW Humphrey Blvd. A past study indicated that vehicle traffic volume supported conversion of this 3-lane road to 2 lanes (1 in each direction) with a bike lane on either side.

The proposed I-205 under-crossing (on existing ODOT ROW) is needed to provide a safer, more direct way for residents of the Madison South neighborhood to access the I-205 MUP and the Gateway Transit Center.

This whole section of Canyon Road on both sides between all the bus stops is terribly unsafe. Minimally, a sidewalk on both sides from Linden Road up to Copel Street connecting the neighborhoods to the bus stop and also some kind of cross walk with blinking warning lights and/or a stop light for traffic needs to be placed on this road. Several high school children in our neighborhood negotiate canyon road on a daily basis, and my biggest fear is that one day there will be a terrible accident and a pedestrian will be hurt or killed.

As noted by others Tri-Met is the method for high schoolers to get to school. This is also the bus route for commuters. The only signalized crossings are at Canyon Lane and at 87th Avenue. That is approximately 1 mile. For anyone who lives on either side of Canyon Road there is no direct connection to either stop location. This assumes that a pedestrian uses the closest stop on Canyon Road to go either to or come from downtown and therefore does not cross Canyon on one leg. In other words, regardless of where one lives Canyon Road has to be crossed. With a one mile separation it is unreasonable to assume pedestrians will walk a minimum of 1/2 a mile. That would assume they are walking along the Canyon Road shoulder. The distance is much higher if they stay off of Canyon Road. Accessibility / mobility is shot. The Copel Road location is a good start to improve access by adding a pedestrian enhancement. Traffic signal warrants (i.e. the pedestrian warrant) should not be a consideration as the required pedestrian volumes are only valid generally near a school or in an extremely urbanized area. An RRFB should be installed at this location, ideally along with a raised center median, to promote pedestrian (and dismounted cyclist) crossings. The best example would be the RRFB along Barbur Boulevard between Hamilton St and Capitol Highway. there are a lot of similarities between the two sites.

Please put in a Rapid Flash Beacon at this crossing to better support pedestrian and bicyclists needing to cross. This location has a history of vehicles not stopping for pedestrians in the crossing.

Super busy pedestrian and vehicle intersection. Many non-English speaking/reading seniors use this crossing that may be newer-Portlanders and may or may not know or understand how to safely cross and to watch for turning vehicles before crossing. I have also seen people that exhibit mental-health issues that don't have the ability to know when to cross. Please consider eliminating right hand turns at this location and possibly allowing pedestrian crossing opportunities ahead of vehicle travel (LPI).

This is a very busy intersection with a lot of pedestrian activity. Consider putting in an LPI during peak commute times.

I travel 82nd Ave a lot and frequently see people including moms with strollers and seniors trying to cross the street at this location. It's a legal crossing but it's super difficult to get across without getting stopped in the middle of the street. Please consider adding a pedestrian median island and flashing lights to help my neighbors get across the street safely.

Please work with Springwater Station to develop a better sidewalk next to their building. The sidewalk in front of Springwater Station is pathetic! Have you ever tried to access the bus stop from this location when cars are traveling by at 35 MPH? It's not fun or safe for a family with kids.

New and improved sidewalks will help me get to and from the food carts and other local businesses. Small local businesses benefit and thrive from good quality pedestrian access.

Good sidewalks help me get around my local community and to access services and resources I deserve the opportunity to access. Please put in wider sidewalks that allow me and people in wheelchairs and scooters to use 82nd.

Align the "Stop Here for Peds" with the bold white pavement marking showing drivers where to stop for pedestrians. You may need to move both the pavement marking and the sign back several feet to not interfere with the existing driveway. Repaint the pavement marking so drivers can see it.
