No sidewalks or separated path between Burwood Village Shopping Center and Sandy Ridge Drive. Drivers go too fast along this section despite a 30/40mph speed limit thanks to wide shoulders/lanes and straight downhill sections. Chicanes or speed bumps would be nice in addition to a protected walking path.

4 lanes of traffic and only one pedestrian crosswalk on this stretch of MD 648. A pedestrian (Male, 60s) was killed in the past year at the intersection of MD 648 and Schulamar Road and MDOT SHA somehow concluded that there were "No Deficiencies" with this section despite not passing the common sense test. There is no sidewalk on the northbound side of MD 648 between W Furnace Branch Road and 695. The only protected crosswalk that exists on this section is inconvenient, poorly placed, and requires two crossings.

Most of this segment of Keswick is uphill, which presents a challenge for cyclists; cars become impatient to pass and drivers are often aggressive as a result. This road is wide enough for a bike lane, especially if parking were only allowed on one side of the street. This would be especially impactful since Keswick is a natural North/South corridor for biking in and out of Hampden.

Many cars get impatient with traffic conditions on 28th street and drive dangerously to get around them; I've nearly been hit a few times by drivers trying to take a "shortcut" through the bike lane. This area is in major need of permanent, sturdy dividers (like concrete bollards) to protect the cycling lane.

Connect the Catonsville Short Line Trail to the Gwynn's Falls Trail by converting the Norfolk Southern owned Claremont Branch railroad to a walk/bike trail. There is an existing pedestrian underpass under the Amtrack lines, and existing rail bridges over Caton Ave and Wilkens Ave
