This one-way street interrupts the East Coast Greenway going north. It would be easy to make a bike lane going the other way. This would let folks riding their bikes (or running) East on Arrundely safely and directly access the levee trails, which connect to the NW branch trail.

This levee trail could be connected to Rhode Island avenue. There is already a cat trail from people walking and biking through the grass here. Clearly, the people are asking for it!

This seemingly minor change would make a huge difference in connectivity for nearby neighborhoods.

Pedestrians have to walk in the street or through the parking lots of autobody shops. Lots of broken pieces of metal and glass, not friendly to pedestrians or those on wheels.

A high number of killed or serious injured collisions here. It's like one big slack lane inviting pedestrians to test cars and vice versa.

Not disagreeing that we should find ways to make this intersection safer, but for the sake of accuracy in public discussion, according to county (2015-21) and state (2015-22) crash data, there have not been any fatal crashes (by any means of travel) at this intersection since 2015. Looking at people traveling on foot or by bicycle, specifically, there have been 3 crashes involving pedestrians and cyclists since 2015 (2 crashes resulted in people with possible incapacitating injuries, 1 had a person with non-incapacitating injuries).

There is a lot of activity at this intersection (6-point intersection, a lot of businesses and public places that people want to visit, an active transit station, etc.), and we should explore ways to make it safer for all users. I'm not sure the roundabout is to blame - it seems like there would be a lot of similar or worse issues of trying to travel by bike or on foot through a 6-point intersection controlled by a traffic signal. Maybe Mount Rainier and its residents would be open to closing off some of the streets (e.g., Perry Street) to car traffic to simplify the intersection?

Pedestrian crossing here is necessary to connect the Levee trail. Otherwise folks have to go 50 yards and back to cross - might as well walk on the sidewalk - why even have the trail?

A protected bike lane could feed west hyattsville metro station the denizens of mount rainier. Reduce automobile speed too! This area is too car friendly and does not adequately protect pedestrian safety.

Provide a shuttle service for pedestrians and bicyclists across the Bay Bridge. The California DOT in the past used a 15 passenger van towing a bike trailer. Service could be hourly or longer headways during daylight hours. Could do a trial service in the summer.

Reduce MD 212 median between Chapman Road and Drexel Street by several feet, shift northbound travel lanes to the left and combine extra space with the existing east side sidewalk to create a shared-use path that would facilitate east-west bicycle travel south of and parallel to MD 193.

The entrance to the park would really benefit from a 4way stop, raised intersection, round about, or some other way of slowing car traffic and improving pedestrian safety at a place where kids often cross the street. Currently cars go through Alta Vista too fast, especially when they are coming from 355, which seems dangerous here with all the kids coming in and out of the park.

In addition the whole access to the park is problematic. Children who go in or out of the park by foot or bicycle use a road where cars go in and out to park on the park parking, and circulate behind parked cars in the parking. Also the slope out of the park is dangerous for beginner cyclists who may not yet by comfortable with brakes.

No pedestrian/cyclist path to walk to the playground without going through the parking lot where cars are backing up. We need a safer way for kids to access the playground from Alta vista Rd.

Revise snow removal policies on state highways so that snow dumped on adjacent sidewalks from roadways must be removed by state highway crews or contractors .

Also include landscape buffers and street trees between the sidewalk and travel lanes. That will provide some space for plowed snow the handful of times it snows here each winter. It will also help make walking along state-maintained roads far more pleasant the other 350+ days a year.

There are limited locations to cross this branch of the river on foot or by bike. A safer and more comfortable connection through this section would connect more of silver spring to more of east county by bike.

Please remove this slip lane! People treat Ager as though it's another state highway. Anything we can do to make this thoroughfare more bike and ped friendly, safer for the community, would be incredibly appreciated.

Create a footpath to create a shortcut for pedestrians walking to/from the Coldspring Light Rail. This shortcut would save approximately 1/3rd of a mile vs following streets, at an average walking pace of 3mph, this would save 6.5 minutes of travel time.
