The Town of Queenstown has adopted a Trails Master Plan that should be included in the MDOT update. Queenstown's Trails Master Plan includes critical pedestrian overpasses that the Town would like to see included in the MDOT needs inventory (for planning) and in any corridor planning for a new Bay crossing to the existing location.

Dangerous intersection. I've had several near misses with cars that were coming out of NIH and making a right turn on red almost hitting me when I'm in the crosswalk for the trail along the southbound side of Rockville Pk/MD355. The traffic light needs enforcement via a red-light camera because it is already posted as no turn on red but that isn't stopping people.

Very dangerous intersection. The ICC/MD200 off ramp has a curve just before the crosswalk. This results in the inability of drivers to see anyone in the crosswalk and the inability of anyone heading north along the hiker/biker trail to see if there are any cars coming down the off ramp before they enter the crosswalk. The noise of traffic on Georgia Av/MD97 and on ICC/MD200 prevents hearing if there are cars coming down the off ramp.
This faulty design needs to be changed, such as having the curve sooner on the off ramp and thus the off ramp straight when approaching the crosswalk. Maybe moving the crosswalk a little farther north or north north west would also held fix the limited sight distance.
This is a danger for both walkers and bikers, maybe a little worse for walkers because they will usually be in the cross walk longer.
It is amazing that there aren't already a number of white shoes and white bikes displayed at this crosswalk.Liked 2 times

Cars continuously run through this red light and I have been almost run over twice while trying to cross the crosswalk on my bike. It would also help to have one of those countdown lights to know how long you have to cross. The bikelane starkly stops here. It needs to be extended east till Paterson Park.

I strongly support the protective bike lanes that were recently installed along old Georgetown Road in this area, but also strongly recommend adding stop signs for bikers approaching both the 495 and 270 intersections. Even better would be separate traffic lights at those intersections for both cars and bikes, preferably, turning red for cars only when a biker presses a button on arrival at the intersection.
