It takes a very long time after pressing a "beg button" here to legally cross the access road into the mall's parking structure as a pedestrian. In fact, it's unclear to me if the 'walk' signal ever illuminates here; if it does, it's after at least several minutes of waiting for seemingly no reason.

This sidewalk that crosses over the right (northbound) travel lane of York Rd is especially dangerous; as a driver exiting the traffic circle, visibility of this sidewalk and any pedestrians walking inside it is very poor, and in practice, drivers are incentivized to exit the traffic circle at speed. The sidewalk should absolutely not be removed, but something should be done to make this conflict point less hazardous.

Close the circle to automobile traffic and make it bike/ped only. Close all the spur streets to vehicle traffic at least one block in each direction. Perhaps use bollards that could be removed for delivery only (do not allow through traffic) early in the morning.

"Beg buttons" have to be pushed to legally cross this stretch of York Rd, from Towsontown Blvd up to Pennsylvania Ave, despite there typically being lots of pedestrian activity here at all hours of the day and night. The state and county should work together to remove the "beg buttons" or otherwise make pressing them unnecessary such that a 'walk' signal is always shown when it's safe to cross York Rd and adjacent streets even if the appropriate "beg button" isn't pressed in time.

Creating this bike lane would provide easy access for UMBC students and Arbutus residents to the MARC train station and would be a boon to the local transportation network.

I ride this route every day and it is in sore need of a bike lane, the speed limit is 35 but people frequently travel 50 mph, It would be relatively easy to implement as there are very wide lanes and cars park on the sides. If the parking spaces were moved over on each side of the road protected bike lanes could be easily created in both directions without impeding traffic flow.

There is a trail along Franklin and Mulberry that ends and loops at route 1 on Fulton. This mixed use route comes very close to the West Baltimore transit hub but the road becomes extremely unsafe to ride on past where the trail ends - there are narrow feeder ramps down to the merging highway and then 3 total lanes of often high speed vehicular traffic to rapidly cross.

Extending this trail would be of huge benefit to connecting cyclists to transit in West Baltimore.

West Pratt St does not have enough traffic to justify two lanes of eastbound traffic but because its two lanes and generally not congested cars go too fast on it to safely cycle. This is a major connector road between Westside Shopping Center that junctions with Mount Clare Junction and the B&O Museum that really needs protected bike facilities. There is a huge bikeshed of people living in the area that could really use access downtown without a car.

MLK Blvd is a problem though - it is an extremely wide high speed throughfare for cars, and even with a bike lane on Pratt few would feel safe crossing the 240' from curb to curb. Either MLK needs a diet or reduced median and shoulders or a bridge should be built.

The bridge on Monroe St is very pedestrian and cyclist unfriendly, which really sucks when its the access point from the nearest residential areas to the massive Carroll Park.

The rail tracks block access to Carroll Park from the north and there are no mixed use paths across them. The long ways around are also problematic - Monroe St is a narrow sidewalk with 4 lanes of high speed traffic and Carey St is a small tunnel with a bend and bidirectional traffic.

This is currently designated as a bike friendly road with biking facilities. This could not be further from the truth. Either establish protected, separate bike facilities along this road or do away with the signs and road markings altogether, somebody will die here trying to use it for its stated purpose.

Heavily used biker/hiker/runner PVSP access point to Alberton Road currently dumps users onto Hollified Road in mixed traffic with no refuge/shoulder as they connect to other points of the park. Fast-moving vehicle traffic makes experience hazardous, recommend establishing shared bike lane, spearate bike shoulder, or separated bike/multiuse path in this segment to keep non car users safe from traffic on road.

Shared bike use lane marking opportunity ripe here at primary entrance to PVSP Avalon area, which currently fills up to/past capacity on most summer weekends and holidays due to overreliance on car as means of transportation to/from this area of the park. Recommend remarking and designating Park Entrance Road as "shared bike facility" to induce visitors to access park via bike vs other more harmful means of transportation (personally-owned automobile).

Heavily used biking thoroughfare on Frederick Road through downtown Catonsville (which connect residents to local shops as well as acts as arterial road to connect local populace t/from PVSP) currently prioritizes low-revenue, dangerous street parking over resident experience, especially via bike. Bike opportunity to create protected bike lane where very limited number of financially unproductive street parking currently exists while preserving vast majority of off-street parking lots located in litany of areas North and South of Frederick Road.

Heavily trafficked pedestrian route between connecting roads North/South (Hilton) and East/West (McCurley and Tredegar) as well as thoroughfare to/from Patapsco Valley State Park. Sidewalk critically needed here so as not to subject pedestrians to blind turn on narrow desire path on west side of Hilton Ave as currently exists.

This section of the CCBC loop has no pedestrian infrastructure despite street and designated car parking lots above and below as well as high community use and access by surrounding residents. Note specifically the desire paths on the south side of Campus Drive from the 1 to 6 o'clock points on Campus Drive, which are heavily used by students and local residents alike.

Bikers and walkers utilizing #8 Streetcar Path are spit out onto Frederick Road with little to no infrastructure to protect them from fast-moving vehicle traffic accelerating to/from S. Rolling/Frederick intersection. Bikers in particular are forced up onto the north sidewalk in order to move east or west on Frederick Road, despite Montrose Rd being designated as a "biking road."

Lethal bike crossing with several deaths occurring here in just the past several years. Vehicles turning right in designated slip lanes, combined with high rates of speed and hostile architecture, limited crossing areas across 8+ lanes of traffic make this intersection deadly, and Route 40 the moat that chokes all North/South pedestrian and biking movement from points north and south.

This intersection is so overbuilt and unsafe for cyclists, but it's basically the only through street.

Bikers, runners and walkers proceeding in and out of PVSP on Hilltop Road are subjected to hazardous conditions attempting to cross Frederick Road at this intersection, with vehicles accelerating uphill from the west and around a blind corner from the east. There have been several near-misses involving pedestrians attempting to cross the street here combined with cross traffic and turnign vehicles turning onto Hilltop Pl.

Despite being marked and designated as a biking road/bike lane, vehicle speeds combined with a lack of separation from mixed traffic results in the non-use of Frederick Rd for biking. This is despite Frederick Rd being the connective tissue between downtown Catonsville and Old Ellicott City, with a number of shops, restaurants, bike shop, and huge number of connecting roads to Patapsco Valley State Park being on the road. The close, unguarded proximity to traffic moving 45mph+ up and downhill precludes all but the most experienced bikers from using this road for its intended purpose.

Pedestrians walking East on Rockwell Ave are subjected to walking on pavement in mixed traffic due to end of sidewalks several hundred feet previous. This results in pedestrians approaching the intersection of Rockwell Ave and Old Frederick Rd with oncoming traffic turning off of Old Frederick Rd at high speeds (again, while you are in the street due to lack of sidewalks).
