Mountain Bikes should be allowed on the ridge trail. It has ranger trucks and PGE trucks all the time. Mountain bikes are dramatically less impactful than either. Arguably less impactful than hikers on foot.

No! Mountain bikes travel too fast to be able to fully assess their impact. Wildlife can too easily be disrupted by a fast-moving bike.

The intersection of El Camino Real/Primrose Road/Bayswater Ave./Cypress Ave./Carol Ave. is very complex, and confusing for motorists, pedestrians and bicyclists. Often times, it is very difficult to know which roadway leg has the right-of-way given the complexity of the intersection, and makes it difficult for bicyclist/pedestrians to cross El Camino Real to go from one side to the other side and presents significant safety hazard

There is a lot of debris (including things like nails, metal, broken class) in the bike lane along Grand from the Caltrain station to the end (Genentech campus). I would expect there to be debris given there is an industrial use of this route for trucks, e.g. heading to the dump, but I'm surprised that there isn't frequent road cleaning along this route. I have seen the same debris along Grand for weeks-to-months at a time before clean up finally occurs.
This is another factor that contributes to the low utilization of this route for bicyclists - and generally contributes to an unsafe feeling when cycling in this area, which I think is a major deterrent to inexperienced/casual bicyclists that may want to ride their bike into work, e.g. from Caltrain to various companies along Grand

Very difficult intersection to walk across and drive across. Need a signal or a 4 way stop. Have lived in the neighborhood for 25+ years and can’t tell you how many close calls I’ve seen and been a part of.

Intersection of San Bruno Ave and Glenview Dr. The south side of Glenview has the Lunardi's supermarket and a gas station - lots of foot traffic from the surrounding neighborhood to the supermarket and vehicular traffic to the gas station. The Skyline Dr and San Bruno Ave intersection is close and really busy. Cars traveling west on San Bruno Ave come up the hill at at least 40mph which is the posted speed limit if not more and don't have good visibility of the intersection. On the east side traffic, there are cars leaving the gas station or exiting Skyline Dr.
The intersection has no stop sign for traffic on San Bruno Ave leading to very unsafe situation for pedestrians trying to cross over from Glenview Dr to goto the supermarket. Very often cars do not stop or slow down even if they see a pedestrian trying to cross the street. Lots of pedestrian traffic on weekends since people park around to walk or ride bikes along the reservoir which is close by.
For cars on Glenview Dr, trying to cross San Bruno Ave, again, hazardous situation and often causes confusion and near misses.

From the intersection of Bayshore and San Bruno Avenue in the south to the entrance to Brisbane in the north, there is NO safe walkable space for pedestrians. There is no sidewalk, there is no separation of pedestrians from traffic that is travelling upwards of 70mph, there is absolutely nothing to protect the pedestrians who have no other way to get into Brisbane proper. There are many children who MUST take this very dangerous route to School each day and it is only a matter of time before there is some major incident. 71 families live in the Sierra Point Mobile Home Park who have no other alternative to crossing the street to take the one and only bus serving Brisbane (the 292).

Removable posts across one half of the street cause drivers to swerve into the wrong half of the street when turning onto the street.
As a result, driving speeds are not reduced, but safety for drivers, pedestrians, and bicyclists are all reduced.
This seems intended to improve safety, but it actually reduces it.

Please take a look at the timing of the lights on Gateway. They will turn red for no reason and with no cars visible on side streets and these are VERY LONG lights.

A lot of the lights on Gateway are old and very dim, particularly the left turns - it is quite difficult to see when these lights change, especially when the sun is rising and setting.

More cars using Bayshore to avoid the freeway. Posted speed is 45. I am constantly passed by cars going 65. This is a residential part of Bayshore and this high rate of speed is unacceptable. Someone is going to get killed. Roadway needs traffic calming and lower speed limit...try 35 mph. Cars will still go at least 50!

Better signage is needed to indicate what lanes are going where when getting on and off 101 at the Broadway exit. Drivers are often in the wrong lane and cutting others off with very short distances before reaching the next intersection that will get them where they want to go.

A lot of El Camino in Burlingame needs to be repaved due to a combination of potholes and large tree roots damaging the roads. I have never walked here but I would guess the tree roots are probably messing up the sidewalks too. I don’t know if widening El Camino is possible, but having a central turn lane to accommodate drivers entering various neighborhoods would greatly improve the flow of traffic down ECR in Burlingame and northern San Mateo.

I don’t know where all of them are, but each crosswalk not at an intersection on the downtown stretch of Grand should have flashing lights. It’s challenging as a driver to see pedestrians enter the street due to a combination of parked cars and trees/bushes lining the street.

A couple really bad potholes over here on East Grand. Timing of this light could also be looked at especially during peak traffic times - this should be a demand light for every direction except going straight down East Grand where it switches only when drivers are trying to turn in or out of Verily / Brittania or pedestrians are trying to cross - no need to cycle all the way through this intersection unless traffic dictates it.
