A protected left tern light for turning west onto Monroe would help safety around 8am and 5pm.

Crossing Monroe as a pedestrian is not safe. Cars drive too fast and are too distracted, etc. Please add ALL of the pedestrian safety features possible, including curb bump outs and flashing lights at major crossings, speed bumps, etc. Honestly, I think we should consider this entire stretch for a no car zone. Also please add more bike parking at regular intervals in from of businesses, even if it takes away car parking.

This is a really awkward intersection for bikes. It is not clear how to cross from campus to 16th short of getting off your bike and walking across.

This is the least safe intersection on the street. I have almost been hot by cars here many times.

This intersection is a little sketchy for cyclists turning left from Monroe onto 14th. Please improve safety for cyclists.

Underground the existing overhead utilities along Monroe.

Agree with safety comments. Why does anyone drive on Monroe? Could Monroe be completely pedestrianized? Or "authorized vehicles only"? Or made one way to reduce traffic and the ways people need to keep an eye out for traffic?

More/wider outdoor seating!

Better lighting (especially on the university side of the road) and/or yellow flashing lights whenever a walker is crossing

I think instead of traffic lights, better lighting at this intersection at least. It is so dark in the fall/winter that it is difficult to see pedestrians or bikers. I think it would also be great to include one of those pedestrians yellow flashing lights poles to indicate someone is crossing.

This crosswalk is dangerous for pedestrians as it is hard to see around the tree and cars drive quickly through this area trying to get to/from the light.

This driveway onto campus is needed in order to get to parking. As mentioned at another point in the street, I wouldn't advocate for no cars on this street only because we need access to these parking lots.

Some folks are suggesting no cars on this stretch of Monroe, but we have limited parking on campus as it is without removing access to parking lots like this one. I'm more a fan of the one way street idea.

This intersection was the first place I thought about when safety was mentioned. There are a lot of pedestrians, and I always feel unsafe as a pedestrian crossing.

This could also be the beginning of a car-free Monroe all the way up to 26th street. Replace vehicle traffic with pedestrian-only and maybe a bus-specific line like the EMX. No more cars on Monroe!

I go through this intersection a lot. Please DON'T install a traffic light here, as they only slow things down!

I go through this intersection (14th x Monroe) a lot to go between the south and north sides of campus. Please keep it speedy to get through - for instance, no long-cycle light please!

Poor lighting/width of path in this section.

Delivery trucks regularly park between Park Terrace and 26th, often obstructing traffic in one direction, bike lanes, and limiting the view for folks trying to turn from Park terrace onto Monroe.

It would be nice to have something replace Impulse/Sanchos locations. They are great locations but have been empty since shutting down. Could be another spot for live music

I know this is out of the area of concern but I'm sure you'll see it anyhow. Please, please, please, allow for longer controlled lights all the way out past the light on 34 headed out of town. Time these lights so that traffic can empty out of downtown. People continue to fight for a spot in the lane to get out over the one way bridge and traffic backs up for blocks on end.
