Comments for “PCTPA Regional Bikeway Plan Update”
-
This needs a connection to one of the two bike lanes across the street.
-
Please improve efforts to restrict parking here next to the park. The road is very narrow and motorists park illegally and fling doors open with no regard for cyclists (I've narrowly avoided being "doored" many times here)
-
Please comlete the bike lane in this missing section going west
-
I prefer to be on a designated trail to head up to Rocklin (skipping heavy traffic on Galleria/Stanford Ranch Road), but the trail has been closed for quite some time here.
-
This is a death trap for cyclists riding to Rocklin
-
A bike lane is desperately needed here for SB bikes. The on-sidewalk bike on the east side of the street is a death trap
-
University SB has no bike lane
-
I can see as I ride this trail, that there is some sort of plan for the trail to go through. Currently, the crossing from Royer part to Folsom Road is not clear, against one way traffic on Park Drive and Livola Drive
-
There is no route for a cyclist from the NB trail past Summerhill Park to turn left at Freedom way (Freedom Way WB has no bike sensor or button either)
-
Connect this dead-end path to the one ahead of it.
-
Widen and stripe certain sections of this road - it's such a critical connection to Atwood.
-
How can Placer County work with City of Auburn to build connections from their centers (old town and downtown) to trails around Hwy 49 and along Lincoln Way?
-
Donner Pass road from the lake up to the summit, needs enforcement! Road bikers are often texting, not riding single file & not stopping or signaling. They should not be riding down the middle of the road from the summit and passing cars! summer weekends are crazy and dangerous.
-
Missing safe bike connection to the Dewitt campus. I'd bike to work (at CDRA) but infrastructure just isn't safe, nor is it pleasant. Lots of potential with this connection and the Government Center Master Plan update!

The roads in central Placer are heavily used by bikers and runners. However, many of these roads lack any type of shoulder which can be used as a bike lane. The roads are narrow, winding, and vehicles travel fast. Providing more space for the bikers and runners would provide much needed safety for this outdoor destination. Placer HIlls Road is a good place to start.

On Highway 89, it is sketchy with vehicles and road bikes! Could road bikers be required to use the trail along the river for this stretch since it is so narrow.
-
I refuse to go this route. It is too dangerous for a cyclist. There are too many lanes to navigate while cars a constantly moving lanes and filling gaps due to congestion.
-
intersection of SV Road and Highway 89 is scary!
-
Fiddyment is getting dangerous. for those who do not like the Blueoaks and 65 exchange it is one of two routes to head north. Making this stretch wider would help
-
Perhaps some share the road signs
-
I have tried biking to work but do not feel safe riding done this street due to the casino being done this road and the bike lane being very small for an oversize rider.
-
Need a bike lane on NW side of Pacific st from RR crossing to Del Mar - only gravel

Bike/walking lane several feet from Sunset Blvd. Have to carry bike over ground or loop down to University Ave to come right back up . Connect trail to sidewalk - 12 feet or so - would provide ease of access.
-
Intersection Wise and Ophir - change to Stop instead of yield! I was hit by a truck at this intersection...5 surgeries and 3 months to recover! Easy fix to save others!
