Substandard Bicycle Facility
Putting this comment here because a red line on NE Cornell Rd (from Brookwood to SE 10th Ave in Hillsboro) isn't included on this map & needs to be. First, from NE Brookwood Pkwy south, cars are going around 55 in a 45. Then, an abrupt end to the bike lane at Cornell & NE 25th Ave, followed by a scary sidewalk ride with constant risk of cars right-hooking (no good for pedestrians either). What other direct bike route is there to/from Hillsboro and, say, the Cornell Rd New Seasons, or all those tech companies?

Shared Use Path
This wheelchair ramp is too tight to be navigable by bike, even by dismounting and walking. Instead, people with bikes must carry them up and down the stairs. Some users, especially people using adaptive bicycles and other larger bicycles, are unable to cross the freeway here.
Filing as "data doesn't look right" because the map shows a non-bike-compatible wheelchair ramp as a shared used path. Improvement here is also one of my top priorities. This connection is unusually good except for the ramp, so there's a lot of potential here for a really great connection.

Crossing two lanes of traffic that is entering I-205 is very dangerous.

The St John's bridge should have a 20 or 25 mph speed limit enforced with cameras, speed bumps, and other serious traffic calming measures. This crucial, non-substitutable connection could also be a lovely, scenic ride; instead it is stressful and potentially dangerous.

Interstate, freeway, or expressway
Substandard pavement on the 205 bridge presents a serious barrier to interstate travel. The pavement is so washboarded that going downhill requires strong pedaling; doing uphill is beyond many people's abilities. The drainage is so poor that even a light, brief rain causes perhaps 20% of the pavement surface to become puddles, some mingled with antifreeze -- meanwhile, motorists enjoy an impressively well-drained road surface.
I frequently make a 50-mile trip to visit relatives in Washington. The 205 bridge represents 95% of the subjective difficulty of this trip, and is the only part that gives me misgivings about cycling there.
Thanks for making this survey!

The Murray, Walker, Jenkins and 158th square need safer speed limits (35 would be ideal) along with more signaled crosswalks with flashing lights. Walker needs at least two, one between 158th & 150th/Koll, and one between 150th and Murray. Oh, and a shoutout to TriMet: more frequent bus service to this area, please. Special note to anyone using the very long crosswalk at Murray and Walker: Beware of people driving while using cell phones.

It seems like McLoughlin is listed as a potential bike facility. It's honestly hard to imagine making this street feel safer than the alternative routes (17th). ODOT would need to add a protected cyclotrack with 4 feet of vertical concrete to make me feel safe. I'd recommend against spending taxpayer money here.

Thank you for adding this path--it connects the Division neighborhoods with south of Powell (and west of the train tracks) very well.
The area underneath the tunnel could use a light during the evening.

Safeway is the only real grocery store in Molalla. Biking or even walking there from much of the town is dangerous with 40 MPH roads that have small shoulders being the only way.

The freeway here serves as a sinister, brackish moat cutting off the livability and vibrancy of downtown and the pearl from continuing into adjacent neighborhoods. Goose Hollow east of the stadium, from Jefferson to Burnside is virtually a wasteland. Freeways are antithetical to safe, healthy communities where people want to walk, bike, and live. There are likely more on- and off-ramps in this stretch of 405 than there are safe pedestrian and bike crossings. By extension, 13th and 14th avenues are treated as speedways.
Freeways don't belong here.

I'm not going to cycle on 82. Give the money to City of Portland to develop North-South bike streets.

cars coming off 26 WB rarely yield to peds onto Murray. Constantly see drivers roll through "Red Lights" looking to beat traffic coming North on Murray. Deadly combo.

I'd rather be on a neighborhood street. Can ODOT share project funds with City of Portland to develop alternate routes?

The Marquam Bridge is a blight on the river and our city, and an affront to so many of the things we value. It needs to go!

I see other cyclists come down the freeway shoulder. I think they are nuts. Until there is an off-freeway path I'll take the extra 10 minutes and cycle through zoo and Rose Garden.

What's the status of the bike path along north side of I-84 from Gateway to the Steel Bridge? I'd use this often if finished. Yes, I know we need to buy the U-Store building to get enough right-of-way.

Not on this map: There is a lot of cycling traffic along 28th between Stark and here. Pretty narrow. Yes, I know, not many options and probably also City of Portland not ODOT.

This intersection is dangerous because drivers will roll through the crosswalk to save time as they enter W HWY 26. The signage should be changed to prohibit right turns on red.

Pretty narrow pedestrian crossing on the bridge. When cycling through here I'm on the road with the cars - going as fast as I can to get across with minimum exposure.

Maybe I'm confused. We're all cycling along Moody through here. I'd delay adding paths along Harbor. Too many cars even if there was a lane - I'd still be on Moody.

I am more than happy on the bike path along the river between George Rogers and River Road.

Yes. Substandard, but not so bad. Auto drivers are pretty aware through here. This is my daily commute route for 5 years now. No issues. No close calls.

Bicycle Facility Meets Standard
It would be wonderful to have a way across the Willamette between Newberg and Canby Fy.
