Crossing Needs
Due to the heavy traffic/high convergence at this crossing, it's worth considering moving the (to be implemented) bike crossing a block away to 97th, or even 99th. More right-of-way management infrastructure will be highly confusing and won't stop the most dangerous behavior of high-speed edits from the freeway going northbound.
That being said, the solution should give real prioritization to bike traffic, like the traffic signal at se 41st & Burnside, as the volume of traffic at this intersection makes "goodwill" bike crossing almost impossible, especially during peak traffic hours

Bicycle Facility Gap
This intersection is very scary and dangerous to cross on foot or on bike. Drivers do not stop in the right turn lanes when turning on Sandy or onto 205, no matter what color the light is. I was nearly hit by a driver who did not stop to look as I crossed 30 from S to N, on my bike in the crosswalk with the walk sign. He just floored it to turn onto 205. Had I not been crossing very cautiously I would have been hit and seriously injured. I have not been able to bring myself to cross here since. It is just too terrifying. This oversized, poorly designed intersection is used by many people walking and biking on the 205 path, from the nearby transit center, and from the neighborhood. It is ridiculous that people must risk their lives to navigate this intersection on foot or on bike. Get rid of those slip lanes and redesign this intersection before someone is killed.

Substandard Bicycle Facility
Substandard narrow bike lane on Highway 30 here. Also, lots of traffic merging on to Bridge avenue at high speeds creating conflicts with bicycles continuing down Highway 30.

Interstate, freeway, or expressway
Where is the route for bikes and pedestrians? Oh, you mean it's in the highway, but you have to detour at least 3 times, watch for heavy industrial traffic, oil skids, etc. How many kids do you see riding the (considerably short) distance between the two cities? I wonder why that is...

Bicycle Facility Gap
There is no safe way to cross Highway 30 to reach the St. John's bridge. As it is now, you have to wait for a gap in the traffic, and then queue up with auto traffic at highway speeds to approach the light at Bridge Avenue.

Substandard Bicycle Facility
Substandard bike lane on Highway 30 under and near the St. John's Bridge. ODOT standards should be met here with a standard sized lane for the amoount of freight and traffic on this facility.

With the new road diet going up on Foster (eventually), it would be nice to have connecting bike infrastructure on Powell. You know, if you actually cared about safety.

Interstate, freeway, or expressway
Here is a connection between North Portland and NW Portland / Pearl / Alphabet / whatever. No similar route exists for pedestrians and people on bbikes. People in this area have no good way of getting to Interstate, no good way of crossing the river without backtracking, no way of getting across the river without crossing a highway with a high risk of right hooks, and traffic from this area blocks the only routes that are somewhat decent between Downtown and N/NE Portland.

Plz make Willamette a bike lane w official speed bumps, lane indicators and traffic controls all the way until it connects w Lombard for the Kelley Point Park round trip ride. Thx

Bicycle Facility Gap
There are 3 places to cross over the railroad tracks, and most of them are dangerous. I avoid Willamette since it's full of drunk douche-bros and trashy residents with lifted trucks who deliberately try to hit people who are cycling. Lombard is even worse. It's almost as if those drunk douche-bros all got jobs in the trucking industry and have taken this road completely for their own use. However, when the semis and "small" trucks are not an issue, commuters and soccer moms are.

Bicycle Facility Meets Standard
The fact that you think this piece of shit shoulder / edge of the roadway with an 8" painted white line that is somehow called a "bike lane" meets any sorts of standards shows your priorities. People reguarly travel well in excess of the posted speed limit here, and often way too quickly for conditions. There is no physical separation between traffic of different speeds, there are potholes, ruts, places where the "bike lane" just ends. Half of the "bike lane" appears to be decades old non-maintained asphalt with a sprinkling of broken pieces of concrete, parked automobiles, etc. Call me when you get serious about safety.

Interstate, freeway, or expressway
Bike lane on Barbur/4th Ave disappears once you cross over 405. Intersection was recently rebuilt, but disappearing bike lane was not fixed. City staff have commented that ODOT felt that preserving 2 auto lanes through the intersection was more important than providing safe bike access from Barbur into the downtown core.

Bicycle Facility Gap
This "bike lane" is absolutely ridiculous. It's full of glass, next to ridiculously high speed traffic, ends in a confusing interchange. I was scared for my life riding here.

Shared Use Path
People going from one part of this bike path to the other have to traverse 5 on/off ramps and ride on a designated freight route, under a dark overpass with no physical separation.

Substandard Bicycle Facility
Laast year, a woman was killed here while she was waiting for the bus. As far as I know, no improvements have been made to the roadway or bus stop since then. Just another example of dangerous roads.

Bicycle Facility Meets Standard
The sharrows are not effective here! Requests for enforcement go unanswered. The 2 lanes in each direction encourages speeding and weaving. The narrow, high sidewalks, low railings, and high wind plus poor visibility at the columns and increasing use by pedestrians make the sidewalks also unsafe. THe roads at either end of the bridge are 2 lane, the bridge does need 4 lanes. Please close the outer lanes to motorists and make them protected bike/ ped lanes. The motorist lanes could be made wider and have a center divider or greater buffer added.

Rural Shoulder Gap
People drive way too quickly for conditions in this area. The twists and turns can give very little leeway when approaching a slower road user from behind.

Crossing Needs
pedestrians and bikes and peoplein whellchairs/pushing stroller, etc NEED a way to cross I-84. THere should be safe access on either side of BOTH MLK and Grand, and something between Grand and 12th
