With increased population and traffic, W Bayshore has become a shortcut to Cooper to avoid an extra light. Cars exiting S Surfside onto W Bayshore have to creep into the intersection in order to see vehicles headed east toward Cooper. Sightlines are terrible from Surfside looking west! At a minimum, signage showing "blind intersection ahead" or "vehicles entering from left" should warn eastbound traffic to slow down.

U-turns on S Islands Drive W in front of Islands Elementary School are dangerous. Principally committed by parents dropping off and picking up school kids. Passing in the school zone is prohibited for obvious reasons, but U-turns present similar risks.

Drivers get confused and try to drive in the pickup lane as a regular lane, it needs different stripping to indicate that it isn't a regular lane.

It is hard for residents to get out of the community in the morning because of the parents dropping off their kids at Island's Elementary, needs better signs and directions given to parents.
We also have problems with loud vehicles in this area, mostly at night. -
Weeds and bare dirt between the sidewalk and the street on the south side of Houston between Oaktree Park and Gilbert Rd. are an eyesore. Could use some gravel and maybe some new plants.

The trees along there have wrecked the sidewalk, curbing, and wall facing the street. For some reason they took down most of the trees but not all. Now it looks even worse.

Drop off/pickup traffic at Neely causes massive backups during those time periods making Houston a non-viable road for through traffic. Switching the pickup corner or adding a pedestrian crossing light would be helpful since it's timed vs relying on crossing guard decisions
