Transfer station - In the past few years has become problematic due to accepting landscape waste. The landscaper trucks w/trailers, hauling waste for disposal, are sometimes lined up from transfer station down to railroad tracks in middle lane. They pull out into oncoming traffic causing dangerous conditions for other drivers having to slam on brakes and pedestrians safety concerns when traveling north on Cooper Rd. Increased traffic on most days but other days are worse. Smell of landscape waste is also problematic when warmer.

Really need code enforcement on Juniper Ave. Multiple homes with overgrown/dead vegetation, cars parked on unimproved surfaces, etc

This school has varying start and stop times with no bus service, which means nearly every student is driven by car. During pick up and drop off times it is impossible to get through this area for residents of the neighborhood.

I agree - I believe EDUPRIZE should be required to provide a more functional parking solution WITHIN their own parking lot to allow vehicles to move off the street. During busy times, dozens of cars are simply parked in driving lanes in both directions and it can be impossible to move for 10-15 minutes. Cars often get impatient, trying to pass the parked cars in the middle or on the shoulder, which is dangerous for the kids. It must also be a concern should emergency vehicles ever need to get through the area.

Mother Nature's farm is storing old vehicles, farm equipment and trash on the SW corner of their lot near Neely and Merrill. It is an eyesore and a safety concern due to the large hole in the chain link fencing.

Respectfully, I disagree. A working farm will have equipment that needs to be parked or stored somewhere. Farm equipment is not an eyesore, but a sweet reminder that we have a beautiful, working farm that the community loves right next door to us. Yes, any "trash" should be removed, the grass could be mowed a bit better, and any holes in the fencing should be repaired, but other than that, there is no reason at all that the farm equipment needs to be moved or hidden. The farm is beautiful from any direction. :)

This area at the railroad crossing is always filled with debris. A way to cross the railroad would also be welcome.

This dead end is overgrown and I often see escaped chickens from the farm next door and lots of feral cats hanging out on the street.

I run / walk down this dead end all the time. I have never seen the chickens, cats and/or other animals more than a few feet from the farm land. Unless they are causing an issue for the business(es) next to the farm, I don't believe this is an issue. Again, it's a dead end with a tall residential wall on one side and the back of some businesses on the other, so I don't believe it should be a priority.

I believe the Cooper/Madera Parc intersection would benefit by the addition of a traffic signal. Traffic along Cooper has increased substantially over the years, making left-turns out of Madera Parc and Madera Estates increasingly dangerous. This danger will be amplified by the ongoing construction to add a southbound third lane that's due to merge just before the intersection, making it more difficult to predict oncoming openings. And regular left-turners into the neighborhoods make use of the turning lane a big risk attempting to leave the neighborhoods.

Additionally Stetson Dr. is the lone main street entry into Madera Estates and Madera Park Dr. is one of only two entries to the main artery of Madera Parc.

Lastly, there isn't a single other intermediary light on Cooper between Elliot and Warner to provide pedestrian passage. Traffic controls on this intersection would double as an ideal pedestrian crossing given the intersection's central location between Cooper and Elliot and the presence of First United Methodist Church on the SE corner.

1000% agree with this. There are constant speeding issues, many accidents, pedestrians that jaywalk to get to church - a traffic signal is needed!!!!!

Over the past 8 years traffic has increased significantly. An entire rental neighborhood was built behind the church and every landscaper in town uses Cooper to get to the weinberger waste station and all the Amazon hubs nearby majorly contribute.

Sun views outer walls are really deteriorating and even missing chucks in some sections. It seems like the community is choosing not to keep it up. Likewise, there are extremely overgrown bushes on the other side of the street and many homes with exterior block fences needing repair or replacement.

In the evenings the sunview street becomes extremely crowded with vehicles, often contracting vans and trucks and older run down vehicles. We've seen abandoned cars left here for extended periods. It has attracted thieves who attempt to break into the vehicles and then migrate down the neighborhood streets trying other cars in driveways

Yes it is a complete embarassment for the community and residents. This really needs to be cleaned up and improved. It's completely run down and very trashy looking.

Please fix manholes so they are flush to the road surface. The deep holes force moving into different lanes to avoid these bumps.

Encinas St has had minimal street maintenance performed on it since it transitioned from county-owned to Gilbert-owned. It's time for some new paving.

The apartments being built next to Kohl's will create a significant increase in traffic on Cooper Road. This will make it more difficult to make left turns from Encinas Rd onto Cooper. Is it time to add a traffic light at the intersection of Cooper Rd and Encinas St?

Circle G Park has not been maintained and updated like the parks in the new build areas of south Gilbert. It needs to receive the same attention that the others have received and be a beautiful amenity. It is currently populated by a large amount of feral cats, causing the area to reeks of cat urine. It has a very dated and unused tennis court that should be converted into multiple pickleball courts. Also, there is a large amount of grass area, allowing for space to be repurposed as much needed basketball courts.

Freestone Park is aging and not being given the same attention that the new parks in south Gilbert are given. The park amenities and grounds need to be updated and maintained. The outdoor amphitheater needs to be updated and included in scheduled town wide activities. Activities should not just be at the new parks in the south! There is a huge thriving population in the Freestone area that is being ignored in favor of those in the new build areas of south Gilbert. Freestone Park and the areas around it needs to be included in the area for revitalization.

Agreed. The park needs some TLC, but is a great location for activities. Some specific updates: more maintenance of the duck poop, add pickleball courts, fresh paint around property, replace missing shade at batting cages.

Adding to the above, simply adding some shade options for the spectators for the fields and dugouts would help tremendously. Not an ounce of shade.

The bike/walking trail in this area is a wonderful thing to have. I walk it to downtown and also bike as far as Tempe. I like the bridge that was built over the railroad tracks west of Gilbert Rd. Tempe and Chandler both added lights to this same trail. Some are AC powered and some are Solar. The lights really enhances the trail, especially in the hot summer months when you might want to walk when it's dark and cooler. I'm a guy and I think twice about walking it when it's dark, lights would help it to become more family- friendly. Chandler and Tempe also improved the landscaping along this trail.

Turning northbound on McQueen is particularly dangerous. There are power poles and shrubs to the south that hid approaching traffic, making a right-on-red a risky move.

Maybe we need a no turn on red sign at that intersection. Thankfully that light has a sensor , the light changes quickly.
