This trail could be upgraded for a more scenic pedestrian area. Currently it is often full of trash and looks fairly trashy overall. Many people utilize this daily in spite of the overall disrepair and run down landscaping. This could be a beautiful space for residents to utilize if it were upgraded and activated.

This park could use some updating and modern features. It is busy every night of the week and weekends too with softball games... but no other part of the park is being utilized. Families could easily enjoy some additional equipment and shaded attractions to activate other areas of the park.

Agreed! That would be so helpful as well as PATH LIGHTING FOR NIGHT TIME! EXTREMELY dark at night. There is no path lighting at all. Would feel much safer with better lighting as well as less worried for tripping or falling and hurting myself. Please!

The Powerline Trail is a great asset to the area, but it needs some TLC. There's often trash, sections of the canal are broken, and dirt is washed away.

Still needs lots of clean up. The canal is infested with the invasive plant globe chamomille.
Like Liked 0 timesThis area has not been improved since the original post in 2022. Some planned landscaping with trees and bushes is badly needed. A nice example of what can be done to improve canal trails is to look at what the City of Chandler has done on the Paseo Trail that runs North and South.

There needs to be a traffic light here. Traffic has increased a lot and new community being developed will bring more traffic. It takes a long time to turn left. If youre turning right and a big truck is turning left, I cant see the traffic, it can be dangerous to turn left as you cant see the traffic coming.

Require weinberger to clean, sweep streets every week or more to take down dust/debris from clients

We live off of Cooper. Us and our neighbors have had to deal with flat repairs from nails picked up along Cooper. We agree with the need for a scheduled sweep of Cooper. This maintenance expense should be levied on the transfer station business. Also have officers issuing citations for uncovered loads traveling to the transfer station

Supposedly the construction for this project was going to start in September -- that was two months ago as of the time I posted this comment. Is this development still happening? Is there any more information on it?
It seems like a lot of money and development left on the table if this doesn't happen.

This Parcel that was to be Veterans Memorial Park is now a blighted neighborhood eyesore! The town needs to at minimum level the parcel back to the way it was and remove the temporary ugly blue tarp covered chain link fence which has been in place for several years now. Maybe plant some grass and a few trees and make it a mini-park. A plain dirt lot like before would be better than what we have now.

The canal path has so much potential! If only it could be landscaped and made more attractive, especially for walkers sharing the path with bicyclists.
