We do not have a continuous safe route to Farallone View Elementary School. Recommend Main St. to 5th St., Left on Le Conte Ave. Some sidewalks would need to be installed, and STOP signs at intersections with NO stop control on 5th St. (5th and LeConte/5th and East).

We need a high-visibility crosswalk on Santiago Ave. at Francisco St. where many El Granada Elementary School students cross to get to school. I would also be helpful to have a loading zone along the west side of Santiago Ave. to provide a safe place for parents to drop off and pick up El Granada Elementary School students during specified hours.

From So. Airport Blvd to El Camino Real on the segment of 380 the Light bulbs are out on multiple highway light poles and never seem to get replaced. This creates a very dark driving experience for older drivers (or even younger drivers with poor eyes right or those who are otherwise impaired) WHY does CalTrans NOT replace lightbulbs on a regular basis?

Left (northbound) turns from the West side of Cypress are difficult for some drivers when Hwy One traffic is heavy because there is no acceleration lane. The County has a street light on Cypress but there is no highway illumination for seeing this intersection in the dark, especially after tge MB Distillery sign is turned off. There are many accidents at this intersection.

Roadside debris from January Storms has never been cleared along the shoulders of Hwy One from Moss Beach to Linda Mar in a Pacifica. Mudflows, tree parts & loose rocks are left where they landed and obstruct shoulders that are too narrow already for cyclists but the few emergency Turn-outs are obstructed by large branches too.

Improve pedestrian crossing between Spindrift Way and Beach Ave. Add an island or pedestrian safety zone on highway 1 at the north side of Spindrift, so that pedestrians have a safe place to stop while crossing the road.
Create the same safety island/zone at Grandview and Highway 1.

Tunnel under the Highway 1 for pedestrians to go between Gray Whale Cove and the parking lot east of highway 1. The existing slope of the terrain from the parking lot going west towards the Gray Whale Cove access road is downhill. The tunnel can go under the road and slope downhill, arriving part way down the Gray Whale Cove access road. This avoids surface level interaction between pedestrians and cars. And it would be easier to traverse than a raised walkway/bridge over highway 1.

Don’t spend a penny on Gray Whale Cove until after the improvements to the Safety of the Moss Beach Corridor are funded and completed! I agree that an underpass is needed but do not agree that it needs to be a priority.

Straighten the curves on 92 between Main Street and Pilarcitos Creek. Add a k-rail to separate the westbound and eastbound lanes. Periodically add a roundabout so that traffic can reach the businesses and homes.
This would reduce accidents and improve traffic flow. We have too many accidents on 92. It is unsafe. And the traffic flow is often bad, due to people turning onto/off of the road and pedestrians crossing the roads by foot.

Hwy 92 accidents are weekly so something needs to be done.

Especially if they could create an uphill passing lane on
Westbound 92 between the Reservoir and Skyline (Hwy 35). -

Between Hwy 1 and “Santa’s Tree Farm” there are many twists and tourist attractions or nurseries. I agree that they should widen the roadway there as well as straighten the curves and add K-Rail.

A barrier is needed on all parts of 92 from 280 to HMB to prevent head on’s. Cal Trans wrote me a couple years ago that not enough people have died or been injured to warrant a center divide barrier. Many more have been injured and at least one more killed since then. Our lives are important. Please help.

They need to crunch the 92 numbers again.

Hwy 92 is a Nightmare between HMB & Crystal Sorings!
I avoid it whenever l can because it is so unpredictable. -
Driving on Hi 92 from 280 to the coast is exceptionally dangerous. The frequent collisions must be reduced. Bypass or alter 92 physically to prevent crashes. Begin law enforcement. Fire whoever is currently sending out traffic notifications and begin reliably notifying residents.

CalTrans could let motorists know of incidents on Hwy 92

(*Variable Message Signs) -
There is a "Slower traffic keep right" sign on Southbound Rte 1 just before a "Right lane turns right" sign. The first sign encourages drivers to use the right lane, which is about to end. This leads to many unsafe sudden land changes (into the left lane) by drivers misled by the first sign. Please remove the first sign, or change it to "Thru traffic merge left."

Very narrow street that is used as a main throughfare to get from old-town SSF to upper SSF and the schools. Cars are parked on both sides of the street and the parked cars are hit by moving cars. Often these cars are driving recklessly and speeding. Speed bumps or making the street a one-way street would help.
