Needs to be paved.
Old road that needs street lights, and paving.
Dangerous to make a left turn here. Why isn't there a connector road from Weiss Market to the traffic light by Rite Aide, so those of us wishing to safely turn left can have a traffic light to use? It is impossible to turn left to go north on River Road if you shop at Weiss! And at rush hour, you are risking getting in an accident. Need a solution!
this location may have a big rock slide and may happen soon with all the rain and the heat both move thing
Lanes are narrow on South Poplar Street. Drivers are still unsure which lane to be in for driving versus turning. Limited parking spaces available and those allowed are very narrow making it dangerous to open doors and exit vehicles. Drivers attempting to turn on to Poplar Street from side streets are not able to pull out much from curbing because traffic is very close and could cause a collision. Unable to bike on street at all and sidewalks are all uneven, also unsafe. ALL of these problems will become worse in the winter when lines are harder to see and snow piles further limit lane sizes on edges and corners / intersections. Recommend east side of Poplar Street reduce very wide sidewalks to half width and add wide enough space with extra buffer for safer parking, biking and walking / running.
The traffic coming off of N. Hampton St. needs to be addressed. Starting around 3:30pm Monday thru Friday it is constant slow traffic and horns honking. I have seen people drive along the side of the road passing other cars to pull into Wilkes-Barre Beverage parking lot. Close calls every day. People are constantly not coming to full stop at the stop sign to merge onto 309.
There is a “Target Enforcement Area” sign here that you can barely see because of tree and brush encroachment.
There is a very faded yellow arrow sign here to indicate the leftward curve from Huntsville Rd. to Reservoir Rd.
Crosswalk signals display both walk and don't walk at the same time. confusing and dangerous.
If the extension of Pennsylvania Boulevard was actually completed to Division Street (as originally planned), it would remove a lot of through traffic from River Street and Carey Avenue - because Pennsylvania Boulevard would connect directly to the Sans Souci Parkway. It would ease travel times through the city while reducing traffic volumes and improving pedestrian safety in South Wilkes-Barre and Downtown. Why has this project been abandoned?
This road needs two lanes heading towards Northampton St. Too many drivers either accidently or deliberately use the right merging lane as a traveling lane, often at excess speeds to pass on the right. It is quite dangerous.
This is an exceptionally dangerous intersection. The timing of the lights is inadequate for the amount of traffic in all directions. Many cars run the red light when going in either direction whether traveling on the Blvd. or crossing the Blvd. onto Coal St. and Highland Park. Traffic turning left onto the Blvd. from Highland Park is constantly backed up past the left turn off Highland Park to access Sam's Club. The timing of the lights needs to be extended, or consideration needs to be given for a roundabout.
For the past few days, I have smelled natural gas at the SW corner of Dennison and Wyoming Ave. Hear the big metal box.
The speeding on Murray St is out of control. We need actual traffic enforcement.
This intersection has gotten incredibly dangerous since the new sidewalks have been put in. Residents on the SE side of this intersection park on what is in essence their tree lawn and the people at the stop sign on Oneida cannot see the northbound River St traffic until they are already pulling out. This is now a blind corner and again, near misses every day. At minimum a mirror could be put up.
There is a 4 way stop here, unless the southbound River St traffic is making a right on Rutter, then they do not have to stop. The drivers on eastbound Rutter rarely stop at their stop sign when making a left onto northbound River St. This is very dangerous for the people trying on westbound Rutter and northbound River. There are near misses daily because again, drivers do not stop at the stop sign and they don't have to because there is no police presence.
There is a 3 way stop here at Welles and Elizabeth. Drivers on Welles consider the sign optional, more than 50% do not stop at it. If you look at a lot of the comments here, many issues have to do with drivers completely ignoring basic road signs such as stop and yield. There are very few police on the roads and drivers know they can do just about anything and not get a ticket.
This whole road is terrible. Main Street Edwardsville into Northampton Kingston.
There is a very old mirror here that should be replaced. Pulling out of this parking lot is incredibly dangerous as cars speed though here and it is hard to tell when someone is coming
There's been at least two dead fawns on this road this summer. Maybe consider installing wildlife crossing signs as various animals cross the road here to access the creek.
Signage needs improvement regarding turning lanes and no turn on red, particularly coming from Hanover side of Main Street
Dangerous intersection, multiple streets intersecting and hills involved
Stop signs are often obscured by leaves and plants, making them harder to see in time. Also, people are often running the four way stops with no repercussions and there have been multiple collisions.
Always hard to turn left onto casey ave because there's no actual turn signal for turning only sometimes it takes a few light rotations just to get to turn
Fix me please, there's a hole
