Extremely short crossing times and lack of "walk" signals unless the button is pressed indicate to pedestrians that they are not welcome.

Cars go too fast down San Pablo Ave: it needs a road diet. It's a dangerous street to cycle on, so cyclists often use the sidewalks. Bike lanes would make the sidewalks much safer for pedestrians to use and make the street safer all around.

This intersection is huge, bleak, and overwhelming to cross on foot. The angle of the streets limits visibility and the lack of medians makes crossing the wide street challenging for those of limited mobility.

Another vote for a pedestrian crossing across Stanford @ Lowell. Lowell St is one of the few through streets between Paradise Park and Santa/Fe Longfellow that is amenable to walking/biking and not a high-speed automobile thoroughfare like MLK or Market.

Underpass uninviting to walk under. Something should be done to beautify and make feel safer.

    Preferably remove 980. :)

Sidewalk is wide on this side of San Pablo and people ride their bikes on sidewalk, dangerous for walkers. There should be signage telling people to ride on street, and a bike lane to make them feel safe doing so.

Median a nice walk up to this point, cut off by bushes, should be path all the way through to intersection.

Another really long wait to cross. Not clear light is superior to 4 way stop.

This underpass is a key pedestrian connection that is in dire need of improvement. Homeless encampments, blight, crime is what is there now. Many residents in Longfellow would use this connection to support local businesses on Telegraph if it allowed for safe passage. Instead many of us drive only a few blocks from our homes only to use a valuable parking space for someone who is visiting the area from out of town.

Pedestrian countdown and sound crossing would be helpful here. Confusing when pedestrians are allowed to cross - and people come up to the intersection quickly or try to turn left rapidly sometimes.

A more inviting connection between the waterfront and Old Town would encourage more pedestrians moving around downtown. The freeway is a large visual and physical barrier between these two areas.

Pedestrian crossing signal needlessly does not come on when cars heading south on College get the green. Cars cant turn right heading south - so this is completely illogical.

Better lighting at night. Public mural perhaps to make this underpass more inviting.

Illuminated Crossing signal that flashes when people cross like the one at Shafter and MacArthur would be nice

We need a pedestrian walk across Stanford at Lowell St. Kids are trying to get to Destiny Arts on Grace St.

Speed bumps needed on Aileen between Gaskill and Los Angeles. Only street without speed bumps. Cars drive fast on average 35-60 mph.

This intersection is confusing for pedestrians, bikes, and cars turning right. The right turn lane for cars is supposed to be a "yield" but it is unclear and pedestrians and bikes are often cut off by cars (especially since bikes have to maneuver from a bike lane, across the turn lane, to the other part of the bike lane). Flashing pedestrian lights would be useful, as would be a continuously-painted bike lane.

This intersection (cars traveling south on lowell) DESPERATELY needs a stop sign. Cars turning onto 53rd have a blind right turn (after a strange, mid-block stop sign) and turn directly into the path of cars on Lowell, often going at high speeds through the semi-industrial area. I have repeatedly almost been hit when walking and biking through this intersection, either when turning (by either a car going south on Lowell or by another car turning from Adeline that doesn't understand why I've stopped to make sure the intersection is clear) or when going through on Lowell (by cars turning who don't realize this is a blind, no-stop intersection). Please - kids play on this corner and the school is RIGHT across the st!!
