I do not like traffic lights, I actually think they're often a hassle. BUT, this intersection absolutely needs one. It's extremely dangerous and people drive like maniacs through here constantly... I was very dismayed when other lights (that seem about trapping people for $$$, rather than safety) were put in along Park Blvd. For the record, I drive this intersection from E 28th st every single day. A traffic light would inconvenience me, but safety is obviously more important.

4th Ave at E. 12th: Very busy intersection with serious blind spots due to parking (and double-parking) on 12th. Major speeding occurs on this road making it hard for anyone to cross it safely. This intersection needs to be a 4-way stop with lights and signage for the existing crosswalk.

Park Blvd at Van Dyke: Major crosswalk that needs more visibility. School zone crossing that is poorly lit, with faded paint, and small outdated signs. Bright paint, news signage, and lights would greatly increase driver awareness. Intersection desperately needs a stop sign due to high vehicular speeds. Speeds well in excess of 35MPH. Vehicles do not stop for pedestrians, including OPD. Continued slowing of other major streets has pushed traffic onto Park as a conduit between the civic center area and 580 freeway, and it's now used as an expressway. Park Blvd is a residential street (25MPH!), home to families and has been neglected for too long.

Park Blvd at Cleveland: Major crosswalks that needs more visibility. No signs or warnings and poorly lit. Bright paint, news signage, and lights would greatly increase driver awareness. Eastern crossing has a bus stop and is next to a community garden. Very large intersections with two crosswalks, that desperately needs a stop sign for pedestrian and driver safety due to high vehicular speeds.

There are NO crosswalks on Mandana between Grand and Lakeshore...like anyone would walk all the way from one end to the other to cross?? There need to be crosswalks at Erie and Vermont.

Grand at Mandana - people traveling toward 580 run that light all day long, endangering those crossing Grand in front of the 7/11. People crossing Mandana are many times transparent to cars turning left from Grand onto Mandana, because the intersection is so wide. People walking across the parking lot entrance at Stars Pizza have to contend with drivers not really knowing what to do, since there is no light for them.

Park Blvd at McKinley Ave: Major crosswalk that needs more visibility. Poorly lit and no signage. Heavily used with bus stops on either side. Bright paint, news signage, and lights would greatly increase driver awareness. Intersection desperately needs a stop sign due to high vehicular speeds. Speeds well in excess of 35MPH. West-bound traffic flows straight downhill without any calming measures. Many children use this crossing due to proximity of schools.

Park Blvd at E. 28th: Major crosswalk that needs more visibility. Poorly lit and outdated school crossing signage. No speed limit sign in westbound direction between MacArthur and Van Dyke Ave (approx. 1 mile). Vehicles do not stop for pedestrians, including OPD. Park Blvd at Montclair: Major crosswalk that needs more visibility. Bright paint, news signage, and lights would greatly increase driver awareness. Intersection desperately needs a stop sign due to high vehicular speeds. Speeds well in excess of 35MPH. Heavily used bus stops on either side. Many children/elderly use these stops. Very serious blind spot on north side of street due to parked cars and curvature of street before intersection. Vehicles do not stop for pedestrians, including OPD. Continued slowing of other major streets has pushed traffic onto Park as a conduit between the civic center area and 580 freeway, and it's now used as an expressway. There is a very sweet park here with no curb ramp at Jordan and Bennett Pl. It's not accessible for strollers and wheelchairs. Guido and large chunks of Bennett Pl are missing sidewalks.

Cars drive pretty fast on International and E12th. Large trucks are always parked in front of the markets along these streets; they block visibility and make it very dangerous to try and get across from 8th-13th. Adding some stop signs or lights would help pedestrians and cross traffic.

There is no lighting on this street. It's pitch black at night and you can't make out the road if you're biking/walking.

Broadway between Keith and 51st is difficult to cross and the cars speed. Also, there are two very confusing one-way signs at the end of the Eastbound Hwy 24 Broadway Exit.

Please add pedestrian walkway along Chabot Rd from Golden Gate to the top of Chabot. Many children live near the top of Chabot and walk to the elementary school. Now, in many spots, they are forced to walk on the roadway, where there are spots with blind curves for drivers.

Rebuild sidewalks that have a noticeable slope, like the north side of 40th Street, to have a level surface for comfortable walking. Yes, this probably shouldn't be anywhere near the highest priority.

Please make a paved sidewalk the whole length from Golden Gate Way to Lake Temescal on the south side of Broadway.

Right now the only paved sidewalk is on the north side, but then pedestrians/strollers/wheelchairs would have to cross Broadway with no crosswalk to get to the lake.

Create a level crosswalk at intersections like Gilbert and Whitmore instead of an awkward crossing sloping to the side

At the southeast part of the intersection of Roanoke and Chabot, there is no ramp for strollers or wheelchairs to cross the street. Please install a ramp at the intersection so strollers and wheelchairs don't need to go into the road (away from the intersection).

People often run this stop sign at the intersection of Roanoke and Chabot. It is especially dangerous because there is an elementary school right here.

Please paint crosswalks (on Roanoke and both sides of Chabot) and put a traffic cop there every few weeks - it will make money for the city and get people in the habit of stopping.

People speed down Roanoke, a street with many small children and less than a block from an elementary school. Please install speed bumps and/or a stop sign at the intersection of Roanoke and Manor Crest.

New signal actuation and timing made this intersection worse for pedestrians. Please consider using fixed timing!

The wait for pedestrians crossing Claremont heading north is particularly long. The light for pedestrians crossing College and 62nd Streets (north side of the intersection) is never long enough, so people cross College on the light and 62nd against the light.

Improve enforcement of cars that run red lights at this intersection, which always has pedestrians waiting to cross.

Sidewalk closed on major street due to construction. Ped plan needs a provision to prevent construction closing sidewalks on major streets like Broadway.
