Push button to cross on ramp is in the middle of a dirt ditch and not ADA accessible

Please add more lighting for people walking home at night.

Please add a crosswalk

Crossing telegraph here is treacherous. There are lights at Aileen and 59 but the distance between those is pretty far. Please add a clear crossing spot at 57 street

Between Alcatraz and 55, we need more crosswalks. Preferably one at every intersection so cars have a visual cue and are ready to stop

I've heard this mess of intersections is supposed to be simplified and improved with Measure BB, but it is just terrible to cross as a pedestrian because it takes so long and the street is insanely wide. When I'm destined from downtown to the lake by way of TLB i travel North on Harrison to Grand and cross at Grand because it takes too long at 20th.

Cars coming north on Oak from freeway speed and often make left (WB) turns. There is a high volume of peds crossing the west leg of intersection between MTC and Lake Merritt BART and there have been multiple collisions in this location. Something should be down to slow cars down.

I once spent 2 hours in this location and noticed that the wait for the ped signal is so long that most people ignore it and cross against traffic. The south leg is not very pretty to cross either with 5 NB lanes (triple left turn plus two through) + 3 SB. For a newly designed street, this is an utter shame!

it can be a real pain to walk through this area with all the signals for cars entering the garage.

The length to cross here is INSANELY long as it appears to have been designed to allow cars to turn without slowing down. There are lots of peds crossing here and they dont wait for the signal. Please shorten the distance and require cars to make a 90 degree turn and give peds the default right of way, especially during times when Children's Fairyland is not open and very low vehicle traffic.

this slip lane seems unnecessary and no one seems to understand the proper way to respond to the signal there.

Please open the north leg cross walk instead of prioritizing turning cars. It is dangerous given the very very high volume of peds given the Fox Theater right across the street.

Please fix this weird 5-legged intersection. It takes forever to get the signal to cross and it is relatively low traffic so you are tempted to cross against the light, but the distance across is long. I really don't understand how this is intended to connect 18th and 19th across San Pablo but it definitely looks like a waste of space and makes this area feel unattractive to walk through since its so much asphalt.

Please fix this weird 5-legged intersections. As a pedestrian, the wait to cross is insurmountably long so people cross against the light. The north leg is closed even though one side of the street has the social services building and the other side has the greyhound. It is also a skewed crossing so excessively long. It is also very confusing to motorists when it is actually the right time to cross as there are so many directions. I question whether Thomas L Berkley Way between MLK and San Pablo is even needed and instead could be a developable parcel along with the Greyhound parking lot.

Terrifying intersections to cross as ped. Many great destinations on other side of the overpass (Farmer's Market, shops at Lakeshore) but long crossing and many right- and left-turning drivers trying to squeeze into gaps during walk signal to get onto the freeway faster.

The pedestrian signal phases on Grand Avenue should be set to recall. They currently default to "Don't Walk" even though there is sufficient time to accommodate a full walk phase. Most people presently ignore the pedestrian signals.
In particular, this intersection has really long delays for pedestrians. At times, it can take in excess of 2-3 minutes to cross the street. Crosswalks should be striped on all sides and more pedestrian-friendly signal phasing should be installed.

Grand Avenue is very difficult to cross due to high speed vehicle traffic, long crosswalks, and poor visibility

The sidewalk on 20th Street is incredibly narrow given the extremely high pedestrian volumes it experiences. At Franklin, it is about 5 feet wide.

The right turn slip lane defaults to green, allowing high-speed turns while making crossing the street less safe and convenient. It should be removed, or at least changed to a default stop or yield to pedestrians at all times.

Please extend sidewalks to the top of Redwood Road.

55th and MLK
Please update pedestrian signal to countdown on all protected crossings along MLK.
When crossing, there is no traffic light that pedestrians can see once they have begun crossing. Because of this, there is uncertainty and anxiety around how much longer the light will stay green once walking across the street.

There are pedestrians crossing at just about every single signal cycle here during the day, so this signal should be on pedestrian recall.

This is a very long crossing distance, with no protected crossings between Broadway and Shafter

We need a pedestrian bulb-out at Genoa and 55th.
This is the only crossing between MLK and Market ... Lots of kids, dog-walkers, and bikes attempt to cross here, only to face traffic that picks up speed on this WIDE thoroughfare (a leftover from when it carried streetcars, 50 yrs ago)
Please close the distance that it takes to cross the street and help to make pedestrians more visible as they try to enjoy the lovely Santa Fe neighborhood!Liked 4 times -
Mid-block crossing and bulb outs here would protect people walking to farmer's market.
