Riding south on California, it's too scary to make the turns at Gold and Market and many cars go fast and cross the line. Could the bikeway continue south on California, avoiding these busy turns, then people can link back up to Market at Lincoln, Hill, or Angelo (depending how far south they are going). Angelo intersection needs lots of help.

Can the River Trail continue under Benton along the river....so people could get to it from southbound Court Street or from Riverside without having to cross Court/Benton?

It would be nice to have a good, clear, safe trail connection between the River Trail and the high schools. The one now is too overgrown and has stairs so hard to bike. It would be great to link right onto campus.

Use 10 bridge a lot for recreation. Would like a paved option to reach the river trail in this area, would be much better for commuting.

The tunnel under the railroad tracks needs to be better for walking and bicycling. It would be nice to have a good path from the park / BMX track to the main part of Shasta Lake

I'd like to ride to Shasta College but it's too scary right now, even turning onto campus there is no bike lane

It would be great to have good wide bike lanes all along Airport Road / Old Oregon Trail....from Anderson to the Soccer Park in Redding...or all the way to Shasta College

This neighborhood should be connected to the Sacramento River Trail via a trail for walking and bicycling....too scary to go on Quartz Hill Road.

Could there be a separate paved path for walking and bicycling along Hwy 44 through all of Shingletown (and beyond to link to side roads with houses)?

Fix the "Stand by Me Bridge" and the rest of the Shasta Rail Trail from Burney to McCloud....especially between Burney and Burney Falls State Park

Lower Churn Creek Rd would be a great place to build a bike lane. Currently the road is to narrow to share the lanes with vehicles and bikes. Frequently cars are stuck driving very slow until a safe place to pass is found. The bike lane would also allow safer running and walking in a country setting

Is there some way (solar possibly?) to provide lighting in the train tunnel. I have seen a crashed cyclist in the tunnel and the potential for accidental or malicious placement of a rock in the tunnel is a concern for me every time I ride through it.

This unlighted 4 way intersection downtown scares the daylights out of me as a pedestrian. I think there have been pedestrian accidents here and I know I have almost been hit. I don't necessarily want to see more traffic lights on Placer, but perhaps someone could spring big here for one of those neat pedestrian overpasses? This crosswalk is well used.

The heavily populated Magnolia Neighborhood needs better walking and biking access to the Sacramento River Trail. Although close to downtown, this urban neighborhood is very isolated from trails and parks. Getting to the River Trail requires either a complicated and heavily-staired excursion to trail access behind Shasta High School, or the crossing and walking or biking along very busy Eureka Way and Court Streets. An easy pedestrian and biking connection to the River Trail and Caldwell Park would serve hundreds of residents and families in this neighborhood, many of which are low income residents who may not have cars.

Extremely dangerous road to bike on. Potentially great connection from Cypress to the Bechelli Ln access to River Trail, but Lithia Motors employees park all along this street leaving little or no room for biking. Also Lithia Motors uses this street as their unloading zone for vehicle transports and regularly block one lane of this road, making it even more unsafe to ride this section.

There is a well fortified homeless camp under these bridges and is a bit intimidating for the walking traffic that use the trail.

Awesome addition. this is a great example of leveraging the appeal of the river, bridge, and bike path for the benefit of the public (locals and visitors).

This would be a great place to have an open space or park. there is a ton of public land there that doesn't appear to be used by the water treatment plant. Why not open up the hill around the water tower and make some walking paths up there?

This is where the sidewalk ends. This whole area has sidewalk connectivity problems. I almost hit a person in a wheel chair who was rolling in the street because there's no sidewalk.

Security along this section of river trail is a concern. I don't feel comfortable commuting here alone given all the transients who gather in the park.

The crossing at the non-stopping lane of 273 northbound on to Cypress, is dangerous! there is a low wall that obstructs children and people in wheelchairs (a fairly common occurrence) crossing in this nearly blind curve with no X-walk lights or any warning that someone may be in the road.
    I've experienced two near-misses here.

The very small paved shoulder from Simpson University south entrance on Shasta View to College View Rd is often filled with gravel on both sides of the road, making it difficult for road bike users to stay clear of traffic and avoid hitting rocks, some large.

Old 44 from Lilla Lane near Little Creek Rd east for about one third mile has a lot of nasty pot holes and wide cracks on the south sied of the road that need to be filled. One squart pot hole near my location marker must be 6-8 inches deep, and could be disastrous if a cyclist hits it
