Make completion of the Great Shasta Rail Trail a priority. Help link these small communities and great places like Burney Falls together with recreational/transportation corridor and also booth local bicycle tourism.

Would be great to have a separate bike/walk path as an alternative to the Hwy through Fall River. Also better bike lanes on the side streets. Our town has great potential for outdoor tourism and a small town feel, it just needs to be safer to walk and bike around.

Placer needs better wider bicycle lanes (some places are OK but much of the shoulder if very narrow). At least from Redding city limits to Grant School. Ideally continue to residential areas to the west like Ranchland Acres. And also continue north on Swasey to Swasey Recreational Area (even better, all the way to Old Shasta).

Turning from southbound Benton onto Riverside can be tricky on a bicycle due to the grade, high volume and high speed traffic

Better bike connection needed between downtown and Turtle Bay

No sidewalk along the north side of Riverside (entire length). No sidewalk along south side of Riverside (west of Caltrans).

They have a bike rack, but it's lousy. Please see if they can get one that works

Slow down the drivers turning right from Park Marina Drive onto Park Marina Circle toward the movie theater. I've been cut-off while riding my bike southbound-through here

The Quartz Hill road diet improved conditions tremendously along Quartz Hill between Benton and Market, thank you. However, some drivers still go above the speed limit and drive in the bike lane. Consider additional engineering and/or education and enforcement solutions

Pedestrian crosswalks are needed along every leg of the Cypress/Hilltop intersection. Pedestrians cross from northwest to southwest anyway, which is evidence that the crosswalk is needed.

A really mean dog chased me near this spot. Luckily, I was able to halt its pursuit with pepper spray. But I worry for the cyclists who don't carry it with them. There really needs to be a more active animal control enforcement effort along some of these more rural and suburban areas of the county.

A dog chased me here once. There needs to be more enforcement to keep dogs off the roads.

Poor pavement condition. Need shoulders along Iron Mountain Road

180 degree right turn on Iron Mountain Road from the Middle Creek Trail is awkward and scary. There is poor sight distance for vehicles coming from SR 299 northbound along Iron Mountain Road and due to the sharpness of the turn, my travel path is always at least halfway across the lane. Adding to the challenge is the steep descent along the trail as you approach Iron Mountain Road. Please see if this connection can be reconfigured somehow.

Scary narrow shoulder along westbound SR 299 between Old Shasta and Rock Creek Road

There needs to be a sidewalk along the east side of Court Street between 11th Street and the parking lot entry to the Diestlehorst Bridge. Also, there should be a pedestrian crossing (across Court Street) at Riverside and at the driveway to the parking lot. The 11th Street to Diestlehorst parking lot segment is a good candidate for traffic calming as well.
