This transition is difficult if you are biking or jogging. If you cross at the crosswalk the fence for the property is tight to the sidewalk and the two hard right turns are challenging when coming down from the railroad overpass. cross walk would allow a better transition if it aligned with the western powerline trail.

This strip mall is way below the standards that were probably in effect when built. Please work with this owner to refresh - perimeter plantings, remove and replace old trees, refresh the plants in the parking lot island curbs, build a barrier around the dumpsters, improve lighting and signage, refresh granite beds

This railroad crossing was recently upgraded. I do not understand why it is so rough to cross. The tracks and the roadway and the seams are all at different levels. Traffic along here at speed are sometimes surprised by a bit of control loss when flying over the tracks. Can this be corrected?

If you consider doing any additional roadwork, that is fine. HOWEVER, please impose a 5 YEAR moratorium on ripping up that stretch again. Plan ahead and pull excess power, water, sewer, gas, fiberoptics, etc. Do it once and get it right. Guadalupe Road was "just done" and has been torn up in the past. From a cost perspective, we should not be paying for multiple rip-ups every few years.

Plan ahead and pull excess power, water, sewer, gas, fiberoptics, etc. Do it once and get it right. Gilbert Road has been torn up way too many times, it is crushing the local businesses. From a cost perspective, I'm not interested in paying for multiple rip-ups every few years.

Add a flashing SLOW DOWN, INTERSECTION APPROACHING sign to the east and west of this intersection. During AM traffic, the sun is a blinding ball for eastbound, and during the late afternoon westbound traffic is staring directly into the sun. As another comment points out, there have been injuries at this intersection due to surprise, poor visibility, and the curve reduces line of sight and reaction time.

ELIMINATE UTURN from Westbound traffic lane -- The angle is too tight, and many larger vehicles cannot make it safely. Often they are swooping around and heading into the car wash and are not watching. The oncoming traffic in all directions is impacted. Drivers turning east at this intersection often do no anticipate a westbound car making a U-Turn. There have been numerous accidents at this corner.

Impose a requirement on all businesses and schools that they supply sufficient on-property driveway space for customer traffic flow. We have seen the main road backups along both Warner and McQueen during school sessions - Chandler's Legacy Traditional is one offender, and sometimes to a lesser degree Mesquite High

Change our town planning and building requirements. REQUIRE all apartment complexes, strip malls and commercial entities to install solar panels and contribute electricity to the grid. If you can't do it retroactively, then impose on all future development and make it a requirement to build within our town. The panels on rooftops and over parking structures will help with our energy needs.

Improve this area of the Western Powerline Trail for cyclists and walkers. Provide a pathway through in the northwest direction to access the businesses in the notch. Provide information signage advertising our local businesses to increase traffic to Arizona Wilderness Brewpub and others

This is our Front Door - where we welcome people to our town.
All the traffic that flows southbound off the freeway gathers their first impression of Gilbert in the first half mile. Focus on Beautification. Eliminate old trees and scruffy plants. Erect barrier fences to pretty up the businesses. Add fresh plantings on corners and dividers. Add signage to encourage traffic to our local businessesLiked 0 times
