The stretch of road between the stop sign at Lakeview/Wedgewood/Kingswood and Lakeview/Windermere Rd is extremely dangerous, with drivers after the stop sign accelerating well above the speed limit down the hill, faster up the hill, and faster still back down the hill. I am my family members have personally almost been hit multiple times, and cars have even come up onto our curb when they have lost control after having gone too fast.

Additionally cars coming the other way on the long stretch of Lakeview before Windermere Rd. are having the same speed and control issues.

The only suggestions I would have are an additional stop sign at the crest of the hill, or some speed humps or bumps along Lakeview Drive.

It is a serious issue throughout this neighborhood, and only a matter of time before someone or something is hit and hurt or damaged.

There is a crosswalk here to get across Skyline, but there is no official way to get to it from John Daly (no walkway on the north side). There is an unofficial path from N Mayfair, but it is unofficial. It would be better served with a real path.

It is awesome that this path exists, but it is not well lit or maintained.

This intersection in Westlake center is causes backups from all directions due to 4 way stops and lots of pedestrians meaning it is hard to know who has the right of way.

This intersection (and really the whole parking lot, but especially this entrances) is confusing and not well designed.

Leaving the parking lot you are stuck with two stop signs right after another, which is a problem because it then leads to the Southgate stop sign which has its own flow and pedestrians so it often backs up.

Entering the lot from Southgate you either have to go right or left for a lot which then leads you to cross two cross walks in quick succession without good visibility. This forces a bit of aggressive driving to assert right of way against other cars also trying to leave.

This whole parking lot would be best served with a massive redesign.

Turning left here is not safe for cars or pedestrians. It should have a signal or similar. Or no left turn.

Intersection is confusing for motorists. Cars that are proceeding into the intersection from S Mayfair have their own light but it isn't clear once you get into the main intersection that you can keep going. So cars from S Mayfair pull up to John Daly and then stop right before they enter the intersection if they are not used to the light. This then blocks cars from Poncetta Dr from entering the intersection when it is their turn.

This could use better singage or a change in traffic patterns for people turning from S Mayfair.

As a result of the way residents block the sidewalks when they park their cars here, pedestrians must walk in the street. Add to this the poor street lighting, and walking here is especially dangerous at night. Don't lecture on the need to wear bright clothes - ensure that the streets are safe and walkable!

Potholes all along 92 to the coast, including highway 1, cause drivers to swerve into traffic or tire damage. Potholes aren’t being filled and when they are the fix isn’t done properly so they don’t last.

Turning left onto the highway at Etheldore & Highway 1 and at Marine & Highway 1 is terrifying. It is a problem of volume already and will get much, much worse if the development at Sierra adds traffic to the already scary flow.

San Mateo County's Trails Master Plan and Midpen's Purisima-to-the-Sea Trails Feasibility Study call for trail crossings of Verde Road and Highway 1 to connect the Bay Area Ridge Trail and California Coastal Trail. Pedestrian improvements could include signage, beacons and crosswalks.

Current conditions include excessive speeds. Midpen's La Honda Feasibility Study to evaluate potential expanded public access recommend considering potential improvements to improve line of sight.

Francisco Blvd. at Lakeside Ave is a dangerous intersection. I have seen many near-accidents here in this residential area. Lakeside Ave from Clarendon to Francisco is a safety concern.

Northbound traffic stopped on the highway to make an illegal left turn into hotels and restaurants is a constant traffic hazard. Motor traffic rarely stops or slows down but rather drives along the highway to pass the stopped motorists making the illegal left. Not sure if pedestrians or bicyclists heading south on that very same shoulder where the trails don’t connect and there’s no safe passage for them have been injured due to this constant traffic violations. Police could write tickets here all day long.

There is no safe pedestrian area from the Naomi Partridge Trail into town to Main Street. When can we expect a safe route for foot and bike traffic along this corridor? The east side of our community from downtown Half Moon Bay to Montara has no safe pedestrian passage except for the new trail at Mirada Rd to Coronado Rd. Unacceptable.

I have watched more cars than I can count on both hands pass traffic waiting at the stoplight using the right hand turn lane into this neighborhood bypass traffic and running this red light. Police officers could sit here and write tickets all day long!

Reina Del Mar Ave. is heavily used during school hours and unfortunately, there is only one way in and one way out to Vallemar School and few options for alternative places to drop off students. Turning from Reichling Ave onto Reina Del Mar is difficult for drivers during heavy traffic times. The crosswalk to the school is heavily used and can be dangerous. A crossing guard was hit in the crosswalk.

Multi million dollar county trail ends without connection to the city trail (Naomi Partridge Trail) that’s a stone’s through away. This trail to nowhere forces pedestrians onto the highway shoulder and oncoming traffic. How could such a massive and expensive project be approved without it connecting to the adjacent trail?
