We need less traffic pouring out to MDO. I suggest a kiosk and set up a county/state park pass to charge ($) the masses of traffic going out to park! Especially on weekends! I live here and do not go out there on weekends anymore. Dangerous roadsLiked 0 times -
Speed limit enforcement at MDO and ticketing those who drive over double yellow line

The road to MDO was never designed to handle the excess traffic that has erupted in the past 10-20 years!

Charging a MDO park fee will help with our overtaxed emergency services department and especially on weekends sirens always going out to park to those who have injury. etc.

Could signs be added to Pecho from MDO toward Los Osos (Downhill) saying "cyclists may use full lane" to slow traffic and fair for bicycles heading downhill (like signs on pine ave.)

On S. Higuera it can be very difficult/scary cross the right turn lanes to Madonna when you're trying to continue travel south on S. Higuera.

Drivers fail to respond to pedestrian/cyclist signal 1/5 times. Enforcement needed

Drivers go too fast, turn right on red, make unsafe lane changes, and the high volume of traffic at peak times make this a very challenging intersection for cyclists and pedestrians.

Agree, buy lots and convert to park/open space or something usable for the public.

Agree, close vehicle access to strand way. In turn fix and improve adjacent street for vehicles.

My recommendation is place diagonal parking on each side. Reduce to a two lane road. This increases parking and reduces speeds, increases walking. Provide bulb-out curb returns to enhance public safety and walkable areas throughout. Increase sidewalk widths. Pave the parking lots and buy the empty lots to create more parking and also to Create some green space and sitting areas for families to eat. Close off strand way to create a walking open space area.

My brothers and I bike this portion of LOVR often, we have almost gotten hit multiple times by cars crossing into the bike lane. We need protected bike lanes on LOVR.
