I have a friend who is worried about safety in the dark while 1295 onto the bridge that goes behind the CHP office and wishes there was a camera monitoring activity there.

Please! Better protection for cyclists from drivers along S. Higuera at Tank Farm, Suburban, and Los Osos Valley Rd. Me and my co-workers with e-bikes wanna bike commute safely from South County.

Need better bike direction for bikes entering the bike/pedestrian bridge.

Dangerous place where Cal Poly students cross / jaywalk, wearing dark clothes at dusk

South/BeeBee dangerous crossing for all types and with additional housing being built on Bridge this issue will only compound

King/South pedestrian crossing insufficient. Driver's frequently drive through without slowing with pedestrians (families with children going or coming from Hawthorne)

There's a bike trail that starts/ends here, but no safe way to travel by bike to get to it from Higuera, or to get to Marsh from it.

Drivers going North on California and turning right on Monterey routinely ignore bicyclists in the bike lane trying to continue North on Monterey.

The traffic lights at Mill & California do not detect waiting bicyclists trying to cross California on Mill. They don't turn green until a car turns up. Impatient bicyclists are likely to cross against the red light.

Grand needs to be safer for bikes.

Unsafe unprotected left turn from South Higuera headed north, turning left (west) onto LOVR

People blow through this stop sign, they do not even stop. There is never any police around to monitor or issue citations. This is the only access point for all the new housing off South Higuera and an extremely busy street and has become dangerous.

Stop lights are probably needed here. Vehicles pass through around 70 and ignore the âlight upâ crosswalk. There is zero enforcement in the area so people speed like crazy. Someone is going to get killed.

Cars not yielding to school children crossing in the crosswalk. Trailers parked on the north West corner of Encina and El Camino where there is no sidewalk so pedestrians must walk in the street on Encina and cars turning right off El Camino can’t see them because they’re view is blocked by the parked vehicle.

Cars park diagonally on highway 58 in front of J’s forcing bicycles into traffic lanes.

Car traveling SB at excessive speed ran into parked car and totaled it (late evening/dusk)

I have attempted to cross at the Highway 58/Encina and traffic did not stop, even though I was in the middle of the intersection.

Cars often do not stop for students when light is flashing

This entire intersection, no matter which direction one enters in, is a nightmare. From a personal experience though, driving north on W Branch and making a left turn onto Brisco, 7 times out of 10 the oncoming cars (coming south on W Branch and making a right turn onto Brisco) do not pay attention and cut me when I am making a left turn on green arrow while they have a red light. So many close calls there. Additionally, the cars often get stuck in the middle of the intersection, blocking highway access, because they are unable to complete their turn and due to congestion.

The bike lane here is extremely narrow, and the northbound direction is a steep downhill slope. As a driver, I'm always afraid that I'll not see a cyclist coming down the hill as I move to turn right. If I was a cyclist here, I'd be very nervous about a driver not checking over their right shoulder.

Add a No Right Turn Light so that when you are going North on Marsh and attempting to turn right onto Johnson you know when the Southbound traffic on March gets their green left turn signal.

the pedestrian flashing red light is good application here but the white line to stop behind is too far back and is confusing to motorists. Suggest putting the white line the normal distance from the intersection.

When turning right from Foothill to California the right lane is too narrow. Fix is to re-stripe and make make lane wider taking a little away from opposite side of California Blvd.

need pavement painted for sensor for motorcycles to trip the light. This should be done in general at all intersections.

With Calpoly moving 300 people out to this business park if is vary hard to exit onto 227. There should be a light added to this intersection
