There needs to be another way in and out of THS for drop off and pick up. Traffic backs up to the offramp at times.

I love the path on Vineyard by the dog park. It would be amazing if it could run all the way up to the 101. I think it would encourage so many people to walk to Trader Joes and enjoy the shops in the center. It would be so much safe for the kids to walk to school too.

Traffic congestion needs to be addressed... yes a round about could be an answer to the problem however this could adversely effect the houses

School traffic needs to be addressed. It is extremely congested.

I would like to add my approval for more sidewalks (preferably decomposed granite or another permeable composition). Vineyard is anchored by our local public schools, and we need to provide a safe walking route to connect them. Focus should be on: Safety, Ease of use and Beautification. I propose that all utilities (electric, gas, water) be put underground in the middle of the Vineyard road. Provide designated walkways and bikepaths. Plant native shade trees along the walkways to provide shade.

Santa Rita Road at Vineyard intersection is dangerous. Frequently when turning left onto Santa Rita off of Vineyard drivers behind me have passed on the right. This is illegal but more importantly, dangerous. (Note: my husband was rear-ended here a couple of years ago and was taken by ambulance to the hospital.) A light here would be helpful or a left hand turn lane at this intersection.

I agree that making a left turn onto Vineyard heading west is tricky. A light here would be helpful.

The sandy parking area spills over into the bike lane and needs to be cleaned off so the striping for the lane can be seen and it's safer. The bike lane painting in this area should be repainted. There needs to be more striping crossing the onramps to the freeway. The bike lane paint just stops and it becomes 'no man's land' for us just at the critical crossing to avoid exiting cars.

suggest DG type path physically separated from road to allow pedestrian, bike, equestrian use. These "bridle trail" paths frequently encourage additional extensions throughout the community. Should be connected to/through Main Street and eventually Tin City area. Good for locals and businesses.

need pedestrian/bike path down Bethel from south of Vineyard to Highway 46. Very dangerous

bury power lines; looks horrible driving down vineyard

Have there been any parent surveys or studies done regarding this? Feel that busses would greatly decrease traffic on Vineyard, possibly resolving much of the issue here.

For drivers heading west, a speed reduction and/or blind drive warning is needed - for those entering or exiting the gate on Hidden Valley Rd, there is no visibility beyond the curve.

Our bicycle group rides from the 46 up Vineyard towards the 101. The south side of the road heading east from the 46 has little consistency in the shoulder width and we wind up in the car lane in many portions. The width becomes more standard, marked for a bike lane east of the Vineyard elementary school. If there are to be road improvements this stretch should continue the dedicated bike lane. (Another comment encourages similar on the northern side of the road heading west to the 46.)

Yes! How much more vehicular traffic is now on Vineyard Drive on a daily basis as a result of suspension of school bus service some years ago? Not only has this contributed to vehicle congestion and safety issues for cars, bikes, and pedestrians, it has also created a burden on parents to coordinate shuttling kids to and from school.

This is a BIG deer area! There should be lots of signage warning drivers and perhaps speed limit reductions through this stretch.

Too many parents cutting through residential neighborhoods to drop off/pick up kids from Vineyard Elementary.

Best would be decorative jersey barrier between vehicles and bikes/pedestrians. Combination result of better safety and a sense of enclosure for vehicles, resulting in lower speeds.

Agreed - 45 MPH is too high for this heavily used road.

Suggest lowering the speed limit on Vineyard Drive between at least Bethel Road and Main Street, and possibly out to Vineyard Elementary, as well. If the speed limit is 45, folks drive at least 50, and there are too many roads feeding into Vineyard Drive, pedestrians, bikes, and vehicular traffic for the current speed limit.

This is a dangerous intersection. I have seen many instances of vehicles completely driving through the stop signs and not even slowing down. Vineyard is a big cut-through from 101 to Hwy 46, and out-of-area visitors aren't cognizant of the stop sign.

Given the limited shoulders alongside Vineyard Drive, suggest a pedestrian path with decorative jersey barrier to prevent accidents.

Completely agree that this is a top priority! There is a section of walking path between the Vineyard Dog Park to Bethel Road, but no safe pedestrian thoroughfare along Vineyard Drive from Bethel Road to Main Street. This effectively cuts off the ability of students and residents on the West side of 101 to safely walk to/from downtown Templeton, and from the other TUSD campuses. More vehicles now use Vineyard Drive as a cut-through to Hwy 46 from the 101.

Often nearly impossible to make a left turn from northbound Rossi onto westbound Vineyard. Too much traffic in both directions, and especially difficult when cars turn left from Vineyard onto Rossi.

An easy start would be restrict parking and signage on SW corner to about 30-feet from Rossi to allow better visibility of those attempting to turn onto westbound Vineyard from Rossi. This was requested via CHP and County Public Works over 12 years ago while I served as the Templeton Fire Chief
