Comments for “Ardmore Master Plan”

Business is closing, and likely selling property. Excellent opportunity for Township to utilize development funds from construction of One Ardmore. Provide the original neighborhood with public / green space that was lost when One Ardmore was constructed.

Signage for the parking garage is insufficient. The private parking is highly visible off of Cricket, but the public parking has a sign above the entrance that faces away from the direction of traffic, and a very tiny sign on Cricket Ave that is directing people to turn down Haws Terrace.

None of this makes sense, Township should work w/ SEPTA to close or limit vehicle access to this section.

Several of these tree boxes are in bad shape with bricks pushed up by roots or otherwise creating tripping hazards, no grass or other plants included.

Nice spot of grass between street and sidewalk, should be replicated more often

Narrow sidewalk, nothing blocking pedestrians from traffic

Require and enforce no left turns exiting CVS

Property should be restored with residential.

No pedestrian crosswalks

Bad intersection. This is an LMSD and SEPTA bus stop, vehicles traveling west on East Athens have to pull into the crosswalk to see up and down Cricket Ave and around cars parked in front of the apartment complex.

This whole block is ugly for both drivers and pedestrians

Bridge too narrow w/ only one sidewalk for pedestrian crossing, despite this being the fastest way for residents this side of the SEPTA station to get to Suburban Square and Lower Merion High School.

Random, neglected, ugly surface parking lot, would be great site for a park or housing development

Great site for affordable housing development. Plenty of other options for township staff parking.

Really tough/ugly "driveway" here. Could the dumpsters be moved or some barrier erected to hide them?

Pedestrian experience here is awful, especially the north side of Lancaster, would benefit from better pedestrian crossing signage and lights and raised crosswalks.

Why no pedestrian crossing on this side?

Needs better parking enforcement. Cars frequently park on the wrong side of the street (facing Ardmore Ave).

What else can the Township do with this lot? If it must remain surface parking, invest in cleaning up the lot, tree boxes, and the often-graffitied mural

Sidewalk/pedestrians should be protected from cars entering/exiting/parking all over this lot.

If this is a one way exit, signage should be updated and traffic safety should enforce it.

Must be improved before more pedestrians hurt/killed in Ardmore. People lose their minds here, frequently parking illegaly to drop off mail, then performing a u-turn in what is basically a four way intersection. Why can't this be an all way stop? Do we have to wait/hope Piazza development will cure this?

Raised pedestrian crossing would help calm traffic

Drivers exiting this lot can't see pedestrians walking up Cricket Ave unless they pull forward. Install a mirror or other device to alert drivers/pedestrians to the presence of the other.

There's a very nice but completely impractical bench planted in this mulch bed.
