This crosswalk is ignored by 50% of the drivers. You literally take your life into your hands sometimes. Not sure of the solution but it seems stopping is "optional" and I'd rather not see a tragedy occur here.

Add pedestrian bridge to link Trader Joe’s & Farmers Market to Rt 30.

“Green” this parking lot with planting areas that allow infiltration and are planted with shade trees to reduce heat island effect.

Add pedestrian bridge for easier access between shopping areas

Park with outdoor tables for eating from neighborhood’s restaurants. Perhaps keep a few parking spaces, but 3/4 could be a green space park-garden for all to enjoy (no sports)

Allow/encourage the parking lot to be used for outdoor seating and dining for Tired Hands Brew Cafe.

This vast and sloped parking lot is an ideal candidate for a conversion to a great green parking lot: add planting beds that also are infiltration areas, and plant shade trees to reduce heat island effect. Better for the environment and for the pedestrian experience. Also for pedestrians, allow walking access from Greenfield to W. Athens Ave (behind St Mary’s Church).

the building that housed the former chinese restaurant should be torn down or reduced in size because it causes a dangerous situation for drivers and pedestrians trying to get to the municipal parking lot.

There is no sidewalk here on Trolley way. THought that when Cricket Flats was built, they would extend the sidewalk to the corner, but they did not. The sidewalk that exists was built when Athens Apartment was built. In general, the township should look at places where sidewalks end suddenly and people have to enter the street quickly (like was done on Spring between Wynnewood and S Ardmore Park)

I've always thought there should be steps connecting the end of S Cricket Terrace and Walton Avenue here to increase pedestrian access without having to walk around.

In the circa 2003-2004 plan there was discussion of a pedestrian bridge across the tracks that could help knit together the two sides of Ardmore. At the time the issue was that Suburban Square was doing quite well with foot traffic and lack of business vacancies, etc. and there was a desire to make it easier for people to go across from one side to another without having to walk all the way over to Anderson Ave or over to Church Road. The need still exists and would be good to reconsider--potentially if/when a garage is built, an addition could be a bridge to the other side.

SEPTA moved the 44 bus stop from right next to the train station to in front of Trader Joe's when they were building the newish building on Coulter a few years ago but never moved it back. To provide multimodal transportation convenience, they should move it back to closer to the train station.

Concerned that given current zoning, this could be developed in to apartments or something much different than current land use. How can this use be preserved?

Realize the billboard here is grandfathered in, but we should do whatever it takes to get rid of it. Can we spend money to buy out the owner?

Traffic calming should be used the entire length of the business district. Realize that Lancaster Ave is a major thoroughfare, but most cars go far faster than the posted 25 mph. Raised and narrowed crosswalks, additional bollards in some places, brick (or fake brick) paved intersections, etc. should all be implemented.

Another dangerous intersection. Visibility is low when taking a left or right from Rittenhouse Place on to Athens Avenue and given that some cars also turn on to Walnut Avenue (or turn from Walnut Avenue, briefly on to Athens and then left on Rittenhouse) it is difficult as a pedestrian or bicyclist in this area. Recommend at the very least crosswalks, but potentially other interventions as well

This intersection is problematic. I have been almost hit on my bike and as a pedestrian from people making turns in all directions. I believe the parking spaces should be removed between Cricket Avenue and the corner of West Athens as they reduce visibility for pedestrians, bicyclists, and cars and cause cars to have to pull out in to the middle of the street when they are turning left on to West Athens.

Topography from a 1930's map?

What is the purpose of this map? It is apparently from the 1930's. Roads are not as they are depicted here, development in the past 80-90 years is not at all what this map shows. Why is that?

Encourage redevelopment similar to Piazza property on properties and parking lots on Greenfield Ave.

Sidewalk here is very narrow and pedestrians spill onto the street when busy. Cars speed between intersections. Sidewalks are also frequently dirty. Perhaps narrow the roadway and consolidate sidewalk to one side of the street?

The curb cut access here is awful for pedestrians and cars alike. Avoid anything like this in the future.

Township should consider changing over old individual meters to a standard consolidated block meter kiosk, reducing clutter on the sidewalk and offering options to pay via card (and should consider implementing the same standard for Bryn Mawr and Bala as well).

Private development knows what makes a good place (the more enjoyable the space the more likely people will stay and spend ($) and return frequently), Follow their lead and incorporate design features from Suburban Sq throughout downtown Ardmore via a focused business improvement district.

This large block should be broken up with a pedestrian cut through.
